Madonna makes her directorial debut of “Filth and Wisdom this week at the Berlin International Film Festival. It is set in London and profiles three dreamers: Juliette, who works in a drug store and wants to help people in developing countries, A.K. who is a philosopher from the Ukraine who wants to become an international star but who dresses in drag to pay the rent, and a pole dancer named Holly who dreams of becoming a ballerina.
It should be interesting. Her husband Guy Ritchie is also a director, which makes me wonder if he gave her any tips?
She told the Reuters TV: “It’s definitely not a one-off,” as she also plans to debut a documentary at the Cannes Film Festival about Malawi in May. Malawai is the African nation where her adopted son David was born. On a side note she is still have trouble with the legal implications regarding her adoption, although things are looking up for her.
