Jon Bon Jovi is being sued for 400 billion dollars by a musician from Boston.
Samuel Bartley Steele, the front man for a band called, “The Chelsea City Council” believes Bon Jovi heard his song, and then allegedly stole/borrowed lyrics from it. The song is a Boston Red Sox anthem called “(Man I Really Love) This Team.
Steele thinks that Bon Jovi heard it back in 2004 while campaigning in Boston for John Kerry then adapted the lyrics for his own song entitled, “I Love This Town.”
A Bon Jovi spokesperson says they haven’t seen the lawsuit yet.
I really doubt Bon Jovi has to resort to stealing some wanna be rock star’s lyrics to an anthem for the Boston Red Sox to fill space on a new CD. How does Mr. Steele think he can get 400 billion dollars even IF he did win? Seems as if he’s just trying to make a quick buck.
