Madonna’s rep Liz Rosenburg, told AP that Madonna will pay Guy Ritchie anywhere from $76 to $92 million as part of their divorce settlement. The $76 million settlement also includes the value of their English country estate as well as the couple’s west London pub, The Punchbowl. She went on to say:
“I’d assume it’s one of the largest payouts ever in a divorce settlement.”
The two are still trying to negotiate a custody arrangement for sons Rocco and David but have decided to call a truce over the holidays to spend Christmas together as a family. Madonna who is currently touring in South America, will fly to England on December 23rd with the children and stay at the Ashcombe House estate.
I think the settlement works out to about 9.5 million per year of marriage which seems reasonable since Madonna has an estimated worth of over $450 million. Ritchie who is a successful film director whose credits include “Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels” and “Snatch,” is worth about one-tenth of that.
