Ronnie Wood has reportedly been sending abusive texts to his estranged wife Jo over her choice to star on Strictly Come Dancing.

Jo, 54, was ditched by the 62-year-old Rolling Stones rocker last year and she is currently competing on British show Strictly Come Dancing.

It is claimed Ronnie has been sending Jo a number of late-night messages accusing her of “cheapening” herself by appearing.

A source said to British newspaper The Sun: “Ron has been getting on Jo’s case for agreeing to appear in Strictly. He reckons she has done it to win a popularity contest and get people on her side.

“He thinks it’s cheap to be involved in what he sees as a silly dancing show with fame-hungry wannabes. The messages have been persistent and Jo managed to ignore them for a while.

“But they have started getting her upset now and it has all been a bit too much this week. Ron can be a hurtful devil when he wants to be.”

After being featured on a new dance record called “Fresh out of the Oven”, Jennifer Lopez has adopted her alter-ego from the record called “Lola”. A source said this about this dramatic change in Jennifer Lopez’s life: “Lola is just for this song, it’s not her ongoing persona. It’s something fun. It isn’t like when Beyonce Knowles performs as ‘Sasha Fierce.’ There won’t be anything to do with ‘Lola’ on her ‘Love?’ album.” Interesting title to this record… you’d think it’s more of an audio guide to cooking and Lola is actually a public housewife version of Jennifer Lopez. They should really get somebody to think of better titles… people might get confused.

Rumors of the country singer looking-up colleges have apparently come to life as Taylor Swift was recently spotted in Notre-Dame with her brother. Of course, nobody was unprepared for it… thanks to the wonderful twitter where Taylor Swift wrote: Looking at colleges with my brother.” Quite the big distance Taylor Swift is considering for college. What’s wrong with Pennsylvania anyway? Sure they may not be as refined in the art of cookery as the French, or as self-admiring, but they got schools there. For a country singer, Taylor Swift sure seems to be going off away from home, where are all the conservative values, anyway?

Pussycat Dolls star Kimberly Wyatt is glad she didn’t take a job as one of Britney Spears’ dancers as she later got a role in the hit band.

Wyatt, 27, revealed that she once turned down a job as one of Spears’s dancers that she was offered through her choreographer pal Brian Friedman.

She said to British magazine Closer: “He asked me to be one of her dancers and to work with him on some ideas for her shows. It was just before I joined the Pussycat Dolls, so thank God I said no!”

However, Wyatt did eventually dance with Spears as the Pussycat Dolls opened for her Circus tour earlier this year.

And she’s not going to be doing it alone. Others such as Carrie Underwood will be joining her at the Country Music Awards where the two will be competing for the female vocalist of the year… and playing the opening as well. I can already see Kanye West just showing up at this one too, maybe dropping on stage from a helicopter to give out another one of his amazing comments. But this time, Taylor Swift will have her guitar with her… and things might just get a little spicy. But, seeing how Kanye West is such a genius, he will probably manage to evade any more embarrassing situations… or not.

The singer has set a personal ban on any ideas of a tour in the near future due to the effects it might have on his mental health. Robbie Williams confessed the following in regards to the idea of touring: “I cannot imagine touring in the near future. I’ve smashed my head against a wall too many times and I know it’s harder than I am. I felt great when I started to promote a record but it soon began to kill me. I felt worse when on tour. I suffered a nervous breakdown and checked into rehab.” It is a well known fact of philosophical knowledge that if you smash your head against a wall you are bound to encounter difficulties in its usage afterwards. Perhaps Robbie Williams’ “other friends” forgot to mention this in their sermons of great wisdom. The consequences are ours to behold. Or it might be the countless hours of trying to decipher the crop circles…

The singer has recently split-up from Jessica Biel and his grandmother went and spilled the beans on how Justin Timberlake never really intended to get married in the first place. She said: “Jessica was keen to marry, but Justin isn’t ready. He’s busy writing new material and he works hard to be successful – he’s really focused on that. As far as we’re concerned, he’s always been single. The girlfriends come and go, but we believe nothing has ever been serious. Justin does his own thing and he isn’t ready to marry just yet.” Justin Timberlake probably doesn’t have the warmest sentiments toward his grandma anymore now that she’s officially labeled him “bachelor for life”. Oh well, he’s still young, there must still be something women can find interesting at him if not the promise of half his fortune.

U2 Announces European Tour Dates for 2010
In the midst of the North American leg of their 360° Tour, U2 has announced their fall 2010 European Tour dates. The 12-stop tour will hit Germany, Denmark, Finland, Russia, Austria, Greece, Turkey, France, Spain, and Portugal. Tickets for many of the shows went on sale as early as this week, with more presales scheduled for October 5th-7th. Visit U2.com for all the information.

Former America’s Got Talent judge Paula Abdul may not be able to go to Simon Cowell’s 50th birthday party because she is ill.

The 47-year-old wrote on her Twitter page: “So bummed! I might not be able to go to Simon’s B-day after all. Waiting on the Dr to see if I’ll get over this flu in time. Even had a funny surprise in store for him.”

The 1920s-themed party, which is to be held at Wrotham Park, will be attended by such stars as model Kate Moss and actor Kevin Spacey.

X Factor winners Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke will perform at Simon Cowell’s birthday party.

Cowell will celebrate his 50th on October 7 but a party is being held on October 3 for friends and family.

It is claimed that 350 people will attend the £250,000 bash at a mansion in Hertfordshire. Guests have reportedly been asked to donate money to charity rather than bring gifts.

An insider said: “Simon has made it clear he doesn’t want presents. He’s worried X Factor judges Dannii [Minogue], Cheryl [Cole] and Louis [Walsh] will start competing to see who can get him the most lavish gift.

“He’s a very wealthy man already and just wants to make sure his nearest and dearest have a brilliant night.”

Shakira recently presented her new Spanish album ‘La Loba’ at Hotel Puerta de America on Monday in Madrid, Spain. The 32-year old Colombian singer also has an English album out called ‘She Wolf’. It’s basically the translations of the songs on her foreign language disc. In other Shakira news, the singer will be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live on October 17 with host Gerard Butler. Shakira has also announced that she will be embarking on a worldwide concert tour come next year. Let’s all hope that her song and her album gets some legs before she goes on tour or it will just be a waste of time.

Latoya Jackson was in London this past Tuesday as she made an appearance on the Paul O’Grady Show. Michael Jackson’s sister was promoting, er, something. I don’t really know what she could be doing any promotions for, nor do I get how she gets any of these gigs. Hopefully, it wasn’t another ploy to earn a little more spotlight through the late King of Pop’s death. Haven’t we had enough of that already? Or maybe she’s touring with Electric Mayhem again. Who knows? She looked nice for her stint on the show though. That’s more than I can say for the other things that she’s been doing.

Christina Aguilera sings for others people’s supper as she raises awareness of world hunger.

The chart star appears in a new advertisement for the World Hunger Relief campaign.

In the ad, Christina, 28, is seen busking on a Los Angeles street with a guitarist as she sings her hit single, Beautiful to raise cash for the hungry.

She also appears in restaurant posters for World Hunger Relief, which read: “Together, we have the power to save lives and go from hunger to hope.”

An estimated one billion people around the world will go hungry this year, experts say.

“As a mother, I think it’s unacceptable that a child dies every six seconds somewhere around the world from hunger and I want to do something about it,” said Christina.

“By lending my voice, I hope to raise even more awareness about the issue and move millions of people from hunger to hope.”

The World Hunger Relief campaign has been launched by Yum! Brands, the world’s largest restaurant company. Its eateries include KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell.
