Gym Class Heroes star Travis McCoy has said his split from Katy Perry inspired his new song.
McCoy, 25, dated the Hot and Cold singer for a number of years on and off but she is now dating British comic Russell Brand, 34.
He said to UK newspaper Daily Star: “Being in a relationship with Katy has inspired tracks. Any relationship you go through inspires something.
“I’ve also written songs about my puppy. That’s inspired me as much as any relationship situation as he’s my baby boy. It is really not in my character to be nasty about anyone and I wish her luck. I do think I have better hair than Russell, though.”
