Not a day goes by without some singer showing up and sharing some revolutionary piece of philosophy on life… and love too, love’s always a favorite subject. This time it’s Shakira who shares with us her thoughts on how libido is the essence of existence. Here are Shakira’s words on the matter: “I do think libido is the engine of the world. Forward or backwards. For good or ill. Sometimes when we repress our libido we regress. When we were in the Dark Ages, it was a question of humanity somehow managing to forget about itself. We put God in the center of society, and people forgot about their own nature and desires. There was a huge deal of repression.” To deny our impulses is to deny the very things that make us human… some other wise man used to say. Still, Shakira should take hands with Lady GaGa and walk into the lovely world of that old idea of George Carlin’s called “The Sperm Channel”. The rest is only limited by their imagination.
