A representative for Christie Brinkley has denied that she underwent a facelift at the same time her daughter Alexa Ray Joel Ray had a nose job this month.
Alexa Ray checked into Lenox Hill hospital in New York for a rhinoplasty procedure and there had been speculation Brinkley had elected to have cosmetic surgery at the same time.
A spokeswoman for the 56-year-old model said: “Alexa had breathing difficulties due to a deviated septum and decided to correct the appearance of her nose at the same time.
“As far as Christie is concerned, she was at Lenox Hill to support her daughter, and throughout her career people have speculated that she’s done this or that, which she always chooses to take as a compliment.”
Alexa Ray Joel revealed her new look this week, stepping out at the Tribecca Film Festival with her mother. The young singer recently said of the procedure: “I was thinking about getting this for years.”
Iron Man 2 star Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed she makes her kids vegetable sushi in their lunchboxes.
The 37-year-old actress, who has two children Apple, five, and Moses, four, gave her tips for a healthy lunchbox in her latest GOOP newsletter.
She said: “Day after day, it stares up at you, challenging you in ways you never thought possible, begging for originality: the lunchbox!
“This week we bring you ideas to change things up with some healthy options that kids love, including contributions from two other foodie moms… Tamra Davis and Joni from Joni’s in Montauk.”
Giving her own advice, she suggested turkey wrap bites, almond butter and jam sandwiches and homemade vegetable sushi.
Talking about sushi, she said: “A great way to use leftover cooked rice and sneak some extra vegetables into your kid’s diet – not to mention a great way to get rid of those extra soy sauce packages that always seem to accumulate in the kitchen drawer.”
London’s Harley Street private clinic got quite a shock this past Sunday when Amy Winehouse showed up grabbing her boobs and reeking of alcohol. Apparently, the British train wreck of a singer took a fall while partying and was complaining about her bruised boobs. Since the clinic was the same place she had them enhanced a year earlier, her friends brought her there to be checked out. Upon getting a check up, the nurse on call noticed some damage to her ribs and insisted that Wino stay the night. Wino’s reps say that while she was placed under observation, her injuries are not thought to be serious.
Heidi Montag became the butt of her family’s jokes in the season premiere of The Hills on US TV last night.
The 23-year-old reality TV star went to visit her mother, sister and step-dad in Colorado to show them her new face after multiple plastic surgery procedures.
Montag’s mum Darlene appeared horrified by the results and told her daughter: “It sounds to me like you do want to look like Barbie.”
That brought an instant reaction from Montag who declared: “I do want to look like Barbie.”
Later on in the episode Heidi and her family went for dinner and continued to probe her about her motivation for getting so much work done.
Heidi’s sister Holly said: “You were always so outgoing and so confident … I was envious of the confidence you had. I don’t know what happened.”
Heidi replied: “I just wanted to be happier and couldn’t fix who I was being upset with how I looked on the outside.”
Holly then asked Heidi how her burger was, to which the blonde bombshell replied that she couldn’t chew it.
Darlene couldn’t resist one final joke, asking: “You want me to put it in a blender for you?”
It didn’t go down well and Montag had to hold back the tears as the family realised they pushed the joke too far.
Music boss Simon Cowell has claimed he will not return for the Britain’s Got Talent auditions next year.
The 50-year-old star admitted he will not be back for the first stage of the show alongside fellow judges Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden.
He said to UK’s Reveal magazine: “I will join the show at the semi-final stage.
“I will eventually leave, but nothing is decided yet. We launch US X-Factor next year, which is a huge challenge.”
He added: “I like the show, but it takes a hell of a lot of time. You sit there watching horrific acts and you think: ‘I genuinely can’t do this any more.’
“Can I see the show without me? Yes, it can definitely work without me.”
Not only isn’t there anyone who’s going to buy it, but it seems that now Akon is suing his former business partners for forming Konvikt Cosmetics and releasing a fragrance known as “Konvikt”, which is apparently a direct copyright infringement to Akon because his former business partners are branding their product after him. If justice has to be served here, at least let it be served in proportion to what those guys will make off of this. Then Akon can get his fair share… and a wholesome share it will be since there are so many people that wish to smell like convicts out there.
Johnny Depp is apparently going to fulfill his dreams of rock stardom this summer by going on tour with the British band Babybird as their guitarist. The group was originally hesitant to have the actor on board because of his celebrity status but sources are now confirming that two former members of the special armed forces will be present to make sure that no crazy fandom will ensue. I wonder if Johnny can keep up with the rock stars. He will start playing gigs and festivals with the band in June and will stay with them throughout the month and until July.
Lord of the Rings star Elijah Wood has travelled to Chile – to help abandoned animals.
The actor was invited to the south American country by Jorge Yarur, the founder of the Yarur Bascuñán Foundation; an organization that helps abandoned pets.
Wood told Canal 13’s show Viva la Mañana: “This particular trip was about stepping in and getting involved in Jorge’s organization. My mum has three dogs, and I grew up with dogs and cats my entire life. I love animals.”
The star, who played Frodo Baggins in the hit Rings trilogy, also travel to Curepto in the VI Region with the First Lady, Cecilia Morel, to view the damage from the earthquake.
When asked what drew him to the Yarur Bascuñán Foundation, Wood replied: “It’s just a humanitarian act. As a human being your heart just bleeds for any thing or any animal or any person that is being mistreated.”

Three back-up dancers have been injured while filming the season finale of hit musical television show, Glee.
Cast members and back-up performers were reportedly working on scenes for the hit teen-musical show when several dancers received minor injuries, including one woman colliding with a camera, E Online has reported exclusively.
This comes only a week after actress Lea Michele, who plays Rachel Berry, was hurt while performing a Lady Gaga song for another upcoming episode of the show.
Glee producer Brad Falchuk is believed to have given first-aid kits to dancers as a thankyou gift at the end of the series.
Twilight star Kristen Stewart has revealed how nervous she was before her new film The Runaways premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
“I thought everyone would write s**t reviews. I thought everyone was waiting, itching to say that I should just go back to Twilight,” Stewart said of the Joan Jett biopic that also co-stars Dakota Fanning in an interview with Flaunt Magazine.
“I would have died working on that movie.”
Discussing her public demeanor, Stewart admitted: “I get defensive and that has probably perpetuated people’s idea of me never smiling. I kind of shake my leg too, so people think I’m always uncomfortable.”
The actress went on to discuss how life in the spotlight has changed her.
“I definitely act differently. I’m definitely overcoming a lot of it. The only insecurity I’ve developed is just being overly paranoid about everyone looking at you when they’re not.”

Doctor Who star Matt Smith’s brief relationship with model Daisy Lowe has come to an end already, according to reports.
Smith, 27, was recently pictured kissing the 21-year-old British model at the Coachella Festival in California.
But a source later told UK newspaper the Evening Standard that the pair have since parted company, while pals of the actor added that the two haven’t made plans to see each other in the future.
A source said: “They had met a few times before Coachella, but let’s just say there were people in Daisy’s camp who made very sure that she bumped into him again. It has certainly raised her profile.”

Sex And The City star Kristin Davis has revealed that she hates posing in swimsuits – despite appearing in a skimpy bikini on the cover of Fitness magazine.
The 45-year-old actress shows off her impressive abs on the front of the US magazine, but confessed that she found the experience “intimidating”.
She said: “I’m not going to lie. It was very intimidating. There are people who feel comfortable in bathing suits and I don’t know how they do it.”
And unlike her SATC co-star Sarah Jessica Parker, Davis admitted that she has to work hard to keep trim.
Asked whether she and Parker work out together, Davis said: “At times.
“Sarah Jessica doesn’t need a support buddy. She’s one of the most motivated people I’ve ever met, and she has an amazing body even when she doesn’t work out…
“For me, it’s more fun when I have someone to go with.”
The Couples Retreat star also revealed that while she isn’t always confident about her body, she refuses to deprive herself of the foods she that loves.
She said: “I have hips. I’m never going to be the thinnest actress and I don’t want to be.
“When you’re at peace with yourself and your body you’re automatically more confident…”
She added: “But if all I ate were salads every day, I’d shoot myself. Who cares if you can fit in your skinny jeans, if you can’t enjoy life and have something good to eat?”
