Inception star Cillian Murphy is set to star with Thandie Newton in new movie The Retreat, according to US reports.
The 34-year-old Irish actor, who is starring opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in Christopher Nolan’s new flick, will start filming the new feature later this year in Wales.
He will play the husband of Thandie Newton’s character in the movie, which has already seen Sony Pictures take its UK rights.
According to movie website Deadline, the pair will play a married couple who rent an isolated island cottage to try and repair their marriage.
But one day they find a man in a biohazard suit washed up on the shore near their house and he tells them that everybody on the mainland has been killed by a virus.
Actress Katie Holmes ordered a batch of cupcakes from New York to be delivered to her in Canada.
Katie bought a bunch of red velvet and grasshopper flavoured Isabelle’s Curly Cakes from the Big Apple.
And the Hollywood star had them delivered to the Canadian set of her new show The Kennedys.
Holmes stars as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in the new History Channel mini-series.
The sweet treats are sold at Todd English’s Food Hall at the Plaza Hotel in NYC.
And the chef of the cupcakes, English’s daughter Izzy, 16, was very pleased with her new client.
English told: “Izzy was so excited when I told her about Katie’s special order. She asked if Tom and Suri were going to try them too.”
He added: “She’s a big fan of them, so she thought it was very cool… The red velvet and the grasshopper are definitely the most popular Curly Cakes at The Food Hall.”
Knight and Day star Cameron Diaz has taken a break from promoting her new action film with some retail therapy in Paris, according to reports.
The actress visited Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Effect and two Lanvin boutiques in the City of Light. Later she reportedly was taken on a tour around the city’s most famous landmarks, snapping pictures at the Louvre and the Place de la Concorde.
The 37-year-old finished the day by joining friends for dinner at Chez Diep, where the group enjoyed spring rolls, sole and rose while checking out the Shrek star’s tourist snaps, People reports.

Ali Larter said she and her husband fled to Europe for privacy during the first few months of her pregnancy.
The US star, 34, who is best known for her role in Heroes, recently confirmed she is expecting her first child with Hayes MacArthur and said she wanted to keep the news private for as long as possible.
According to PEOPLE, she said: “It was a very private time for me and my husband and something that I just wasn’t ready to share, so we actually left the country for a while.”
She added: “We came back from Europe, and I said to my husband: ‘I just want to go to lunch with my girlfriends. I just want to live my life.’
“I was four months [pregnant] and it was just time to start living my life.”

The UK-born actress was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol in 2007, but claims she’s given up drinking in a bid to lead a better lifestyle.
The former O.C. star, who is rumoured to be dating Brit DJ Ali Love, told Contactmusic, “I’m being healthy and working hard. I have had lots of offers coming in and as well as reading through scripts, I’m also designing my own range of bags.
“I love England and I’ve been desperate to get here to see my friends and my boyfriend, but it’s been hard with the stuff going on in the States.”
The 24-year-old added, “I’m avoiding drinking, which is a shame as there’s nothing better than a glass of delicious English Pimm’s.”
Lindsay Lohan decided to be constructive while sitting in prison. A source declared to PopEater that Lindsay, who is incarcerated in Century Regional Detention Facility Lynwood, will spend her time by writing songs for a new album. She is willing to record those songs immediately after getting out of prison. The source said that Lindsay’s emotions are so intense right now, that this will be her best material, and probably will be nominated for Grammy. Appearing at San Diego’s Comic-Con to promote her new thriller Salt, Angelina Jolie has raved about her experience shooting the action-packed movie.
“I got to play with just about everything, including using a fire extinguisher in a way I’d never used it,” she said.

Leonardo DiCaprio has revealed that troubled actor Mel Gibson is “his own man” and “we all make our own decisions in life”.
In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, the famously reclusive star, who has scored a huge hit with current thriller Inception, also talked about his personal life.
The 35-year-old actor, who has dated a string of models, has been with Israeli supermodel Bar Refaeli on and off for over four years now.
The pair are not engaged – but DiCaprio said he will settle down sooner or later.
“That’s going to come, it’s just a matter of when and how,” he said.
“Some of my friends have two children and their life has changed. That’s going to be the giant leap.”
DiCaprio also inadvertently strayed onto the topic of Mel Gibson’s current scandal after he said he was considering working with the Mad Max star.
But the Titanic star’s comments in the latest edition of the US music magazine were made before Gibson’s alleged taped conversations with ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva were made public.

Troubled actor Mel Gibson will not be leaving the country.
The 54 year-old was rumoured to be quitting the US and heading to Australia. But a rep for the star has said that he is focusing on work and there is no truth to the rumours.
Gibson is caught up in allegations of domestic violence after a picture of his ex girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, 40, looking worse for wear hit the web recently.
Grigorieva claims Mel punched her while he was drunk earlier this year. Her rep has claimed the picture is “true and accurate”.
Angelina Jolie has personally requested redheaded Russian spy Anna Chapman be invited to the Moscow premiere of her new movie Salt.
Jolie’s character in the adventure flick is ironically a Russian spy in America and she has publicly spoken of her amazement at the unexpected link to a real-world spy drama.
Now Jolie has reached out to local promoters of the Russian premiere of Salt to ask them to try to contact Chapman and invite her.
There’s only one problem – finding Chapman to invite her.
“How are we going to look for Chapman? We have no idea,” said Salt promoter, Igor Dubinin.
“But since it’s a personal request, we’ll do everything possible.”
Chapman – dubbed “Agent 90-60-90″ by Russian media because of her ample measurements in centimetres – is reportedly being interrogated by her superiors along with nine fellow deported agents at an undisclosed government compound in Moscow.
The spies are being debriefed and given lie-detector tests and don’t have the use of their cellphones, sources have said.
The movie’s local promoters said they have sent a personal premiere invitation to Chapman’s last home address in Russia and are crossing their fingers.
Director Christopher Nolan has announced that he will not be replacing Heath Ledger as the Joker in the Batman films.
Nolan said that although he has plans for another movie, the late Ledger who played the villainous Joker in The Dark Knight is ‘irreplaceable’.
The tragic actor won an Academy Award for the role a year after his death and Nolan is honoring his memory by laying the Joker to rest .
He would not disclose which baddies will feature in the next film but confirmed that the Joker will not be among them, Sky News reported.
“For me, Heath was the definitive Joker,” he said in an interview to promote his latest sci-fi thriller Inception.
“It wouldn’t feel appropriate to readdress that character.”
Ledger died of an accidental prescription drug overdose in January 2008 and his supporting-actor win for The Dark Knight saw him become only the second performer ever to earn an Oscar posthumously.
The next installment of the franchise is expected to be released in 2012.
