British star Colin Firth celebrated his Oscar win with a string of kisses — before threatening to dance on stage. The King’s Speech actor was named best actor at the 83rd Academy Awards — and promptly kissed wife Livia. Then he kissed co-star — and his wife in the movie — Helena Bonham Carter. And the kissing didn’t stop there — for when he reached the stage he also kissed presenter Sandra Bullock. Then as he began his Oscar speech, he revealed he was “experiencing stirrings” and threatened that they may turn into dance moves on the stage. But he managed to get through his two-minute speech without breaking out any moves before finishing off with: “Now if you will all excuse me I have some impulses I have to tend to backstage!” Firth looked stunned as his name was read out by Bullock for best actor. He stood for a moment on the stage looking down at his award before making his own speech. He then said: “I have a feeling my career has just peaked. My deepest thanks to academy. I am afraid I have to warn you that I am experiencing stirrings, some in the upper abdominals which are threatening to form themselves into dance moves which joyous as they may be for me, would be extremely problematic if they make it to my legs before I get off stage, so I’m going to my best to be brief with my gratitude for being on this extraordinary list of fellow nominees. They are something quite formidable and possibly the greatest honour of this. All the crew and my fellow cast members. All those that are not here and those who are, Geoffrey and Helena and Guy, who virtuosity made it very difficult to be as bad as I was planning to be and David Seidler, whose owns struggles have given so many people the benefit of his beautiful voice. And Tom Hooper whose immense courage and clear-sightedness with which he interpreted that. The men who finessed this to the screen Gareth, Emile, Xavier and of course Harvey who first took me on 20 years ago when I was a mere child sensation. All the people who have been rooting for me back home. And my very fortunate friendship with Tom Ford, who I owe a very piece of this. And to the Anglo-Italian-American-Canadian access which makes up my family. And Livia for putting up with my fleeting delusions of royalty, who I hold responsible for this and for everything that’s really good and happened since I met her. Now if you will all excuse me I have some impulses I have to tend to back stage. Thank you very much.”

The very adorable Kellie Pickler recently went on her Twitter to tell all her followers of a very interesting matter. If you weren’t invited to the former American Idol contestant’s wedding last month, Kellie’s ready to share her special moment with you for the very low price of $1.99. It appears that the country singer is selling her wedding video on iTunes, or rather, a segment of her wedding video set to her hubby Kyle Jacob’s song “Say I Do”, which I would assume he wrote for the special occasion. Hey, if selling the wedding photos didn’t rake in enough cash, I guess a wedding video would be the next step.
Sharon Osbourne believes Cheryl Cole will easily ‘win’ the US over as a judge on the X-Factor. Cheryl, 27, is said to be having elocution lessons to help her lose her heavy North East England accent, and fellow British ex-pat Sharon, said that once that is sorted, there will be no stopping her. The 58-year-old told The Mirror, “Americans won’t understand a bloody word of unadulterated Geordie. But with a little help — and those gorgeous Bambi eyes — she’ll win the audience over. Cheryl will be great. “She needs to know what she can and can’t say, but after that it’ll be plain sailing. And she has Simon’s [Cowell] full backing so she will be just fine, no matter what.”
Alyssa Milano has revealed that her unborn baby is already keeping her up all night. Appearing at the premier of Hall Pass in Los Angeles on Wednesday, she explained to People, “I feel really good but I’m not sleeping great because of the many trips to the bathroom in the middle of the night. “So, I don’t know. I feel good, but if there’s a time I feel like I need to slow down, I will.” She added that choosing what to wear has become easier since falling pregnant. “I’m not as body conscious or concerned with the way I look,” she said. “It’s more about what’s going to be comfortable versus what looks flattering. It’s a whole different world that I’m enjoying a lot.” With her first trimester out of the way, she said that she is planning to start preparing for the baby soon. “Everyone says don’t do anything the first trimester, because God forbid something happens,” she said. “So, I haven’t really done anything. I’m going to New York to do a part in New Year’s Eve, and I’ll be back home in three weeks, so I figure I’ll start then.”
David Arquette has revealed that he would ‘love’ to get back together with estranged wife Courteney Cox. The couple announced their split in October after 11 years of marriage, and Arquette admitted himself to rehab in January following an alcohol-fuelled spate of partying. Having completed his treatment, he told Oprah Winfrey that he wants to now try to repair his marriage. Appearing on her chat show, he said, “I’d love for it to work out. “I want her to be happy. If me being the best person I can be doesn’t make her happy in a partner, in who she needs, whatever she’s looking for, that’s still to be answered.”
A cross-eyed possum in Germany is predicting this year’s Oscar winners. Following in the footsteps of Paul the Octopus – who predicted the World Cup football results — Heidi the possum is giving her tips for the Academy Awards. Each day the cute marsupial is being released in a pen, where she comes face to face with a row of fake Oscar statuettes. Whichever statue she touches with her paw first signifies the winner in that category. Last night (Tuesday) Heidi picked Black Swan star Natalie Portman to take home the Best Actress award. The possum made Portman her chosen one after sniffing around the trophies and walking in and out of her box. The hilarious footage was broadcast on Jimmy Kimmel’s US chat show. A picture of each actress was taped to each statuette — complete with cross eyes to make Heidi feel at home. Heidi, who is believed to be two-and-a-half-years-old, was abandoned outside an animal shelter in North Carolina in the United States with her sister Naira, and has been living at Leipzig Zoo in Germany since May last year.
My Name Is Earl star Alyssa Milano has confirmed that she is expecting her first child. The 38-year-old actress and her husband Dave Bugliari, 32, confirmed the pregnancy on Twitter. “Yes, it’s true. And we couldn’t be happier,” Milano tweeted. “Thank you for your warm wishes and love!” Milano and Bugliari — an agent at the Creative Artists Agency — tied the knot in New Jersey, in August 2009, after meeting three years earlier. “They’re just over the moon,” said a source close to the Hall Pass star. “They are so excited.”
Ashley Cole’s mum has reportedly launched a one-woman mission to get her son and Cheryl Cole back together. According to Now, Sue Cole misses Cheryl so much that she rings her constantly, trying to convince her to reunite with Ashley. A source told the magazine: “Sue talks about the house and how much it misses Cheryl’s stylish touch. And she has told her how much she wishes she was still with ‘her Ash’. “Sue would love to see them back together, but Cheryl has made it clear that there is no chance. She wouldn’t let herself get hurt by him again.” The source added that Cheryl “has always thought the world of Sue”, who lives with Ashley in Surrey, “but now she just wants to move on”.
Actress Ashley Judd is reportedly close to signing a deal to star in ABC show Missing. If the 42-year-old star agrees to sign on to the show she will play the role of Becca Winstone, a single mum who travels to Europe to track down her 18-year-old son when he goes missing in Italy while working on an architecture fellowship. According to Deadline, the new show is from feature writer Greg Poirier and is set to launch in the autumn. Steve Shill, who won an Emmy for his work on Dexter, has signed up to direct several episodes of the new show including the first episode. Production will begin on the show at the end of March in Rome, Vienna and Prague.
Anna Nicole Smith’s estate is reportedly considering legal action over the new ‘Anna Nicole’ opera in London. Larry Birkhead, the father of Smith’s young daughter Dannielynn, has told US website TMZ that her family are not happy about the opera, which recently debuted at the Royal Opera House in London. The opera follows Smith’s eventful life and Eva-Maria Westbroek is taking the lead role while Alan Oke is playing J Howard Marshall. Birkhead told TMZ that Smith’s family were not contacted by producers of the show and he was not offered an advance screening. He said that the opera is ‘a sleazy tabloid’. He added that the estate is looking at their legal options. Birkhead said: “If [the producers] are not careful, they’ll get more than diet pills in the mail.”
Hollywood star Ashton Kutcher has admitted he wants to date Jennifer Aniston. The hunky actor, who is married to Demi Moore, 48, seems to have a bit of a soft spot for the Just Go with It actress. Speaking to Graham Norton in an upcoming episode of his BBC1 show, Kutcher said: “When I was 17 I bet a buddy $1,000 that I’d date Jen. Five years later I met her and asked Brad’s permission.” The 33-year-old added: “She turned me down. But now we’re friends so it might still happen.”
Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman have reached a divorce settlement that was filed with the court. Sources say that the pop singer and the music exec will share joint custody of their son Max. As for their assets, while the former couple had a prenup, sources are saying that Jordan got a little something extra as part of the settlement. As for when the divorce will be finalized, Laura Wasser, Christina’s rep, says that the divorce won’t be final until 6 months from the date it was originally filed so Christina and Jordan will official be divorced on April 15.
Kate Moss is reportedly having to rethink her wedding plans after finding out she can’t get married in Paris. The supermodel is set to tie the knot with boyfriend Jamie Hince later this year, and both had fancied holding the big day in the French capital. But according to the Daily Star, they would have to live in the city for 40 days before the ceremony and get themselves a celibacy certificate. An insider told the newspaper: “Paris seemed to be the obvious choice. Kate and Jamie fell in love there and felt they’d get more privacy there than in the UK. ??There was even talk of choosing Bastille Day in July so they could soak up the fireworks and wonderful atmosphere. ?? [But] The churches they like are mainly Catholic and it’s been made clear to Kate and Jamie that the traditions are hard to breach in France.”
Jennifer Aniston has revealed that her family still listen to rumours about her love life. The 42-year-old actress said that she avoids reading gossip about herself, but admitted that she is forced to deal with it when her family start quizzing her. She told Britain’s S magazine, “You stay as far away from it as possible and just try to deal with the emails and phone calls from your mother, saying, ‘Are you adopting?’ ‘No, Mum.’ ‘Are you dating somebody?’ ‘No, Mum.’ ‘Well, Aunt Jean thinks…’ ‘No.’ ‘Are you getting married at Oprah’s?’ ‘An eight million dollar wedding?’ ‘No. I told you. Don’t believe it.’ “So the only way I’m really privy to it is when I have to, sort of, field questions from my family members, because for some reason they still believe it’s true.”
Jennifer Aniston has admitted she was stunned by Nicole Kidman’s “rock solid eight-pack”. The former Friends actress met Kidman when she made a cameo appearance on the set of her new movie Just Go With It, and said that aside from being in awe of her toned physique, she also felt like a “dwarf” next to her tall co-star. Appearing on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show, she said: “I walked up to her and I said, ‘I’m sorry, can I touch it? I have to touch it, is that spray-painted?’ It was rock solid, it’s like an eight-pack. [And] I felt like I was this dwarf next to her. I was the littlest person in the world.”
It seems that the pop/country trio were the ones that really scored big at the Grammy Awards. They apparently won no less that five prizes, including the ones for Song of the Year and Record of the Year. That pretty much surpasses any other nominee at the awards so it seems that Lady Antebellum were pretty much the super-stars of the show. This is probably going to bump up their career a bit, especially considering that they haven’t really been wowing too many people. But then again, the Grammy awards they got might not necessarily bring Lady Antebellum any large amount of commercial success too soon.

It seems that the current situation she is in right now has left Lindsay Lohan without the option of taking anymore chances. So instead she’s trying to increase her standing, especially with the jewelry store that’s accusing her of theft. Lindsay Lohan went about doing this by sending them some pretty flowers. She supposedly said she only did it just to be nice, but she’s probably actually just desperate. Still, whatever happened to those witnesses of hers that could supposedly testify that she stole no necklace? Did they vanish into thin air just as suddenly as they had previously appeared?
Glee star Dianna Agron would love to play a young Carrie Bradshaw in a Sex and the City prequel. But the actress is aware of all the pressure that would come with stepping into Carrie’s Manolos. Asked about the possibility of playing the lead in The Carrie Diaries, the 24-year-old told Access: “Of course.” Speaking at the I Am Number Four premiere in Los Angeles on Wednesday, she added: “I mean, who hasn’t seen every episode 5 million times. But, then again, you run the risk of people hating it. I mean, how do you compete against Sarah Jessica Parker? She originated that!” Earlier in the week at Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never premiere, Miley Cyrus also said she would like to be considered for the role. Cyrus, 18, said: “I would love it. “I’m not attached, so I don’t want to say that, but that would be very cool.”
Hollywood actor Johnny Depp will reportedly be a ’surprise guest star’ in Adam Sandler’s new film Jack and Jill. According to MTV News, the 47-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean star will have a cameo in the new flick. The movie’s director Dennis Dugan told MTV: “There’s a secret guest star, but I can’t say who it is.” He then went on to reveal that Depp is the mystery man. Sandler, 44, is said to play a set of male and female twins in the film. But when asked what Adam looks like as a woman, Dennis replied by saying that he doesn’t look anything like his Just Go with It co-star Brooklyn Decker.
