Vanessa Minnillo has insisted she and fiancé Nick Lachey are not planning on starting a family any time soon. The singer said she is not ready for the commitment involved with having children and just wants to enjoy life as a married woman. Appearing on The Rachael Ray Show, Minnillo said: “Let’s do it one chapter at a time, why rush? We have the rest of our lives. If you have children, once they’re there, they’re there. You can’t say, ‘I don’t think I want to deal with you today.’ No, they’re there!”
And it is the singer herself who confirmed it. It seems that there have been some rumors that Jessica Simpson was actually approached by Simon Cowell in order to get her to be a judge on his US version of The X Factor. Now Jessica Simpson has confirmed in a recent interview that these rumors are actually true: “They have definitely talked to me about X Factor. I think it would be a lot of fun. It’s definitely my life. To be a mentor for up-and-coming artists is right up my alley. I would have loved to have a mentor. I love watching people’s dreams come true.” As always, Simon Cowell’s list of potential judges just keeps getting bigger and bigger, but Jessica Simpson sure seems like the warm-hearted, friendly judge the Earl of Exigency will need to take focus off of his own steep criticism.
Russell Brand has admitted that he needs to check with wife Katy Perry before signing up to star in musical movie Rock Of Ages. The 35-year-old British funnyman and actor confirmed that he is in talks to join the cast, but said that he will only agree if he can fit it in around spending time with Perry, who is currently on a world tour. He told Entertainment Weekly, “I have to make sure I see me wife (sic) enough, but if we can work out the schedule, then yeah, I want to do it.” Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin and Mary J. Blige are all rumoured to be appearing in the Hollywood adaptation of the Broadway show, making it hard for Brand to say no. He added, “Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, rock music of the ’80s – you can’t go wrong. And I’ve already got the hair. I am way ahead of them on that account (sic).”
British actress Carey Mulligan is reportedly dating singer Marcus Mumford. The 25-year-old Never Let Me Go star is said to be seeing more of Mumford, 24, lead singer of British folk rock band Mumford & Sons, after getting together with him in Nashville, Tennessee, last month. A source told British newspaper the Daily Mail: “Marcus invited Carey to watch him play a secret show in the basement of his friend Mike Harris’s home in Nashville. She sat in the front row and while he was singing Marcus looked down at Carey and she blushed. It was clear they had chemistry. “Afterwards they went to the City House restaurant and dined with friends but they sat together and acted just like a couple.” The source added: “Carey’s hoping they can spend more time together when Marcus flies back to America next month for a major tour with his band. “He’s hired a vintage train instead of a tour bus and has asked Carey to join him for the trip. It’s early days but they seem to enjoy each other’s company.”
Even though she’s such a big superstar and getting close to becoming a god among mortals, that doesn’t mean that Lady GaGa doesn’t have her own idols. One of them is Alice Cooper who apparently had a little surprise in store for Lady GaGa by showing up backstage after one of the singer’s shows. The event was of course caught on a camera phone and Lady GaGa posted one of the pictures on twitter commenting the following: “I just died and went to Hell.” Probably not the best choice of words, but seeing as this is Alice Cooper Lady GaGa got to meet, perhaps it’s not too shabby a thing to say.
The filmmakers behind hit movie Black Swan are denying a dancer’s allegation that she performed almost all of the ballet moves attributed to Natalie Portman. Sarah Lane, a soloist with the American Ballet Theatre who worked as Portman’s dance double, claims the 29-year-old star only did about five percent of the full body shots seen in the movie. Lane has also alleged that producers pressured her to downplay her involvement. But now Fox Searchlight and filmmakers have released a joint statement, which reads: “We were fortunate to have Sarah there to cover the more complicated dance sequences and we have nothing but praise for the hard work she did. However, Natalie herself did most of the dancing featured in the final film.” The No Strings Attached star, who has yet to comment on the issue, won an Oscar for her performance in the film.
It would appear that the worshiping is not going well. What other reason would Madonna have had to give up building the school she had initially planned to gift to the good people of Malawi. Apparently Michael Berg, who was co-founder of the charity together with Madonna, had this message to send on the matter: “A thoughtful decision has been made to discontinue plans for the Raising Malawi Academy for Girls, as it was originally conceived.” So it looks like Madonna is probably going to be investing her hard earned money somewhere else, in another country that will truly appreciate all of her divine powers.

The 35-year-old British comedian, who supposedly slept with up to 20 women a week before settling down with the pop star, said that he was blown away by the strength of his feelings towards her. He told Elle magazine, I nearly asked her to marry me on our first date. It was like a hit of acid, a wave of confusion, emerging from under the water, a moment of ‘Oh bloody hell’, different perception for a moment, extraordinary. And then I thought, I’ll give it space and see what happens. Thirty-year-old actor Jake Gyllenhaal says his ‘badass’ mum got him a rare Banksy print for his recent birthday. “My mum went to try and find Banksy when she was in London,” said Gyllenhaal in the animated interview on US TV show, Jimmy Kimmel Live. “That’s like trying to find the Unabomber,” said Kimmel. “She went to places she thought he might be in London and I can imagine my mother, because she really is pretty badass, just throwing thugs against the wall and being like ‘where’s Banksy, I know where you hide him?’” he joked. The Donnie Darko star said his mum failed to meet the mystery street artist but she did manage to nab one of the 350 coveted prints that Banksy occasionally gives away online. “75,000 people tried to get one, like a raffle but with my mother it’s war,” he said. The Brokeback Mountain star also said that he still gets people assuming he is gay. “It’s because my manager and all these people walked in while my friend was doing up my tie once,” he recalled. Gyllenhaal said the fires of suspicion were stoked further when the same friend shouted out “Yeah Baby!” when he won his Bafta. “Everyone in the crowd just looked at him and whispered ‘did he just call him baby?” he joked. There was news that Katy Perry’s mother is shopping around a book that talks about how the pop singer “has impacted her Christian ministry”. Now, Katy’s parents have gone silent on the topic, refusing to give out any new details about the book to anyone. Her dad, Keith Hudson, said “We have been inundated with calls on this subject and we are not going to comment on any book release. Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt will join Christopher Nolan’s film The Dark Knight Rises – but reportedly not as Alberto Falcone. Variety.com originally reported that Joseph will play Falcone, the son of mafia boss Carmine Falcone. But according to Entertainment Weekly, he is joining the movie but not as that character – although it is not yet known who he will play. Gordon-Levitt has previously worked with Christopher Nolan on hit film Inception. The Dark Knight Rises is due for release in summer 2012, with Christian Bale returning in the lead role of Batman and Anne Hathaway set to play Catwoman.
Former Playboy playmate Holly Madison is single again after splitting from her boyfriend Jack Barakat. E! Online reports that the Holly’s World star and her boyfriend, who dated for ten months, have broken up. A representative for Madison told the entertainment website: “I can confirm Holly and Jack are no longer dating. “Their decision to split was both mutual and amicable.” The 32-year-old reality TV star started dating the guitarist after flirting with him for months on Twitter.
I guess it doesn’t matter if it’s original music or covers of hit songs, “Glee” is an unstoppable force. Last week’s episode of the smash series premiered the hit TV show’s first foray into all original music, with two of the tracks hitting the top two slots on the iTunes chart. The songs “Like Me” and “Get it Right” were later joined by the comedic songs “Trouty Mouth” and “Hell to the No” on the list of available downloads. While it’s great that they’ve proven that they can make original songs hits, I still want to be able to know the lyrics to the song that they’re going to put on the show. Plus, it’s interesting for me to listen to the changes they make on covers.
Prince William has hinted that an Australian honeymoon could be on the cards for him and bride-to-be Kate Middleton. The future king visited Grantham, near Brisbane, on Sunday to visit more than 2000 locals from the flood-devastated town. According to Sydney’s Daily Telegraph, he told one well-wisher: “I will have to come back, maybe we’ll have a honeymoon in Cairns? I love scuba diving, I have always wanted to dive the Barrier Reef.” He added: “It’s much nicer down here. The weather at home is dreadful.” The royal wedding is set to take place on April 29.
It seems that the Earl of Exigency isn’t really as hardcore as he might have some believe. There are those who can actually boast the ability to tease Simon Cowell. Among them is Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger who had this to say about her relationship with the talent show god: “I have a great relationship with him, we have a blast. I have so much fun teasing Simon we hang out. He has what I call a ‘powder face.’ Whenever the make-up artist puts a light coat of powder over his face he leans back, closes his eyes and relaxes like he is meditating. He’s very peaceful.” So it would appear that Nicole Scherzinger has revealed that Simon Cowell does do it all for show. That might go a bit to spoiling his credibility in the trials to come.

Even though it is a noble cause, it seems Selena Gomez isn’t really too keen about Justin Bieber growing a moustache. This is what she said when she was asked if she likes the idea of Justin Bieber growing a moustache: “I actually don’t. You’ve got to commit. You can’t just be like, ‘Let me do a little one.’” Well if Selena Gomez bears with him for a little while then she will have a boyfriend that she can be super-duper proud of for growing facial hair just for the sake of helping other people. Surely Selena Gomez can manage a little fuzziness for that.
David Beckham has revealed that he is ‘proud’ to have been invited to the royal wedding with wife Victoria. The British couple, who are expecting their fourth child, will be attending Kate Middleton and Prince William’s nuptials on April 29. Appearing on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM show, he said, “We’re really excited about it. We’re very proud of our royal family and it will be an amazing occasion… We’re both proud to be going.” Last week, David revealed that his fashion designer wife is carrying a baby girl, giving sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz a long-awaited sister.
Actor Bradley Cooper said it was a ‘nightmare’ filming The A-Team because he had to go on a strict diet. The 36-year-old is currently promoting his new movie Limitless, in which he stars opposite Robert De Niro and Abbie Cornish. Cooper said he had a tough time adjusting to the diet that he had to do to get in shape for his role as Face in The A-Team. He said to Britain’s Absolute Radio: “When I was shooting The A-Team I couldn’t eat anything, which was a nightmare because I love to eat. It was the worst but I could still make sandwiches. “I would like cut a grape in half – this is so depressing – and I would put an almond inside, you know, to make a little sandwich. It was my big treat.”
Actress Abbie Cornish has revealed that she “totally fell in love” with guns while filming her new movie Sucker Punch. The former girlfriend of Ryan Phillippe stars in the flick about a woman who is institutionalised by her stepfather and retreats to an alternative reality as a coping mechanism. The 28-year-old Limitless star says while filming the demanding action sequences in the movie, she was surprised to discover that she likes guns. In an interview in US GQ magazine’s April issue, she said: “I’m a vegetarian I’m not the type to want to go shoot a gun. “Then I actually got to the [shooting] range and totally fell in love with an M4. It was kind of amazing.” Cornish split with Phillippe in early 2010 after dating for four years.
Jessica Alba has insisted that her acting career helps her to be ‘the best mum’. The 29-year-old said that being able to work intensively then take long periods of time off, means that she gets to spend more time with two-year-old daughter Honor. She told Now, “I love acting because it allows me to be, I think, the best mum. I work for two or three weeks and then I can spend the rest of the time with my daughter. I get to be completely hands-on with her. “Most of my friends who work are away all day and never see or spend time with their kids. I bring my daughter to the set. She has no idea that it’s a movie set. She just thinks of my trailer as mummy’s office.” Now expecting her second child with husband Cash Warren, she added that her role as a family woman is the most important part of her life. “This job doesn’t define me. Being a mother defines me, being a daughter, a wife, a good friend, and being loyal,” she explained
