Mad Men beauty January Jones has confirmed she is pregnant. The actress’s PR has issued a statement to People magazine in the US saying, “January Jones is happy to announce she is expecting her first child this fall.” However, there is no confirmation so far on who the father is. January, 33, split from Saturday Night Live star Jason Sudeikis earlier this year and has kept a low profile on the dating scene since then. In X Men: First Class, January plays the White Queen who can transform her body into diamonds. The movie also stars Scottish actor James McAvoy as Professor Charles Xavier. The film will be released this summer.
Prince William and Kate Middleton have appeared on the balcony of Buckingham Palace for their first public kiss. The royal couple, now to be known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, appeared on the balcony along with William and Kate’s family members. Kate, 28, appeared to say ‘wow’ as she walked out onto the balcony and was greeted by the massive crowds outside the gates. Just minutes before the crowd had been allowed to surge forward in front of the palace so they could all get a good view. Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael, were also on the balcony with Kate’s sister Pippa and her brother James along with Prince William’s family and their bridesmaids and page boys. William looked like he was blushing as he had his first public kiss with his new bride in front of the millions of well-wishers. The royal family and Kate’s family then filed indoors for the reception leaving the happy couple to wave to the crowds on their own for a few moments before they also went inside.
Kate Middleton’s little sister and maid of honour at tomorrow’s royal wedding Pippa Middleton has reportedly angered palace officials over her post-wedding party arrangements. Pippa has come to blows with Palace staff over her suggestion that they erect glitter balls in the throne room where a post-wedding breakfast disco is set to be held. According to British newspaper the Daily Mail, Pippa’s decorative plans were questioned until Prince William defended her. A source said: “Pippa’s choice of turning the throne room into a nightclub set-up also went down like a lead balloon with Palace aides, who tried to have it stopped. But William stepped in and insisted he wanted the evening event to be very different from the formal champagne and canape reception being thrown by the Queen immediately after the wedding.”
James Franco is planning to study for a Ph.D at the University of Houston. The university confirmed to CNN.com that the Oscar nominee has been accepted for the doctoral programme in literature and creative writing. According to the Houston Chronicle, only 20 students are chosen from about 400 applicants each year. But the 33-year-old actor, who is currently studying for a Ph.D in English at Yale University, won’t be starting his studies just yet, as he has reportedly deferred his enrolment until 2012. The 127 Hours star already has a degree in English from UCLA and a Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing from Columbia University.
Jessica Alba has revealed that she is refusing to ‘deprive herself’ of anything when it comes to her pregnancy cravings. The 29-year-old actress, who is expecting her second child with husband Cash Warren, said that she eats whatever takes her fancy, but is careful to work off the extra calories through exercise. Alba already has daughter Honor, two, and told Latina magazine that the pregnancies have been very similar. “Sometimes you can’t get a food out of your mind. I could always eat watermelon. With Honor, I loved fruit, too. It’s a decent craving. You still eat cheeseburgers and pickles – you just want watermelon really bad. I don’t deprive myself of anything. I eat whatever. “I’d like to still do something five days a week, from a half hour to an hour – nothing excessive, just some moving. It makes the whole pregnancy so much easier. The more fit you are, the easier the birth is, and a healthier baby you’re going to have.” She added that her nerves have settled second time around. “Every moment was so new and kind of terrifying and now I know what to expect,” she explained. “It’s like, ‘It’s fine, I’ve been there before.’ “With Honor, I was constantly like, ‘Is she moving? Is her heart beating?’ I’d worry about everything, and with this baby, I don’t have the same anxieties.”
Ryan Phillippe has revealed how he and ex-wife Reese Witherspoon have managed to turn hiding from the paparazzi into a game for the sake of their children. The actor said he tries to be as open and honest as possible with daughter Ava, 11, and Deacon, 7, about the photographers but admitted he still wants to protect them. He told People: “Sometimes we’ll make it a game. I’ll be like, let’s sneak out the back and so they can’t get a picture of us. We’ll make it a little team effort thing that they can kind of get into. Reese and I both do a lot of explaining. I think the best thing you can do for kids in any situation is to over-explain even, and really go into detail and say, OK, all they want is a photograph and it’s worth money to them because Mum does movies, Dad does movies.” Talking about the reaction of his kids to the media attention, he added: “My son is a little more carefree, but [Ava is] becoming a young woman. She’s 11 years old and she doesn’t want to be photographed and be seen by her friends in magazines all the time.”
Mel B showed off her growing baby bump as she co-hosted Live With Regis and Kelly. The pregnant Spice Girl told co-host Regis Philbin that she was finally feeling OK after three months of morning sickness. ‘”I am pregnant, very pregnant, so I am taking some down time. I feel swollen like a basketball. I did throw up for three months, which isn’t easy. But now I feel a bit more relaxed and calm, which is nice.” The baby will be the third for Mel B, 35, but her first with music producer Stephen Belafonte, with whom she tied the knot in Las Vegas in 2007.
I’m sure a lot of Girls Aloud fans were panicked and outraged when news came out that the British pop band had decided to start recording new music without Cheryl Cole, as the singer’s schedule proved to be too busy to reunite with the rest of the girls. Fear not though as the band’s rep said “Just to set the record straight. Girls Aloud have not started recording songs without Cheryl and are not going to reunite without her. The girls have always stated they will be a 5 piece group with all original members.” So now the question is when they will all get together again.
Kate Hudson’s son Ryder is reportedly following in his father’s footsteps and wants to become a rock star. The seven-year-old youngster is Kate’s son with her Black Crowes star ex-husband Chris Robinson and she is now expecting a new baby with Muse star Matthew Bellamy. Speaking about the little boy, Kate’s Something Borrowed co-star Colin Egglesfield said to E! Online: “He seems like he’s going to be a poet of some sort. He kind of keeps to himself. “He’s got that cool, edgy thing to him. He looks at you, kind of sizes you up. But yeah, I wouldn’t doubt it if he became like his dad.”
The cast of “Glee” is once again preparing to bring their musical prowess on the road. It was previously announced that new cast members Chord Overstreet and Darren Criss will be part of this year’s Glee Live in Concert tour. But the fun doesn’t end there as it appears that Ashley Fink and the members of the Warblers are also going to be on the line up. The good news just doesn’t stop at that as more dates have been added to the tour. The tour kicks off on May 21 in Las Vegas and will wrap up on June 18 in Uniondale, NY.

New Kids on the Block member Joey McIntyre, now of super group NKOTBSB, is taking a break from being a pop singer to film a guest spot on the USA Network series “Psych”. Joey has been cast as a “buff new officer” who shows up with a “mysterious secret”. With even just that little bit, I’m guessing Joey will be on the show for a couple of episodes. Congratulations Joey! Hopefully this experience will be a ton of fun for you. Don’t forget the band though. I’m pretty sure there will be a lot of women looking forward to reliving their teenage years who are dying to see you in concert.
Kimora Lee Simmons has rubbished reports that she ‘doesn’t eat’. The BabyPhat CEO recently lost 25lbs through portion control and was quoted by Pop Eater as saying that she doesn’t eat anymore. But the 35-year-old insisted that she was misquoted. Talking to StyleList, she explained, “That story quotes me as saying, ‘I don’t eat’. “Well, I had said, ‘I don’t eat bags of Doritos and cheeseburgers like I used to’, but the writer ended the quote at, ‘I don’t eat’. “That’s irresponsible reporting. It really upset me because it’s not at all my message, and I want people to know that. I’m first and foremost a mother and a wife, and I’m raising three kids, and I want them to grow up to have a healthy sense of self.” The journalist who wrote the article declined to comment, but Kimora said that when it comes to her weight, she can’t seem to win. “Six months ago, I was a size 10, and on CNN – CNN for God’s sake – all the news was about how they have to spend millions of dollars retouching ads to make me look thinner,” she said. “And now this other story is throwing sensational salt on me, saying that I’m anorexic.”
An American pizza delivery chain has created a unique portrait of Prince William and Kate Middleton to celebrate their forthcoming marriage — made out of dough. Pizza company Papa John’s worked with a food artist to create the unusual work of art, which costs £500. The bride-to-be’s veil is made from mushrooms and her dress from cheese, while William’s morning suit has been created out of salami and peppers [pictured]. Papa John’s vice-president for the UK and Europe, Jack Swaysland, said: “It seems like the whole country has got Royal Wedding fever, so we just had to do something special to celebrate this momentous occasion. “Like all our pizzas, our royal portrait is made from 100 per cent fresh dough and we believe in using better ingredients, so it tastes as good as it looks. Last Friday it seems that a great burden has been lifted off of Christina Aguilera’s shoulders: finally, she is a divorced woman as her marriage to Jordan Bratman is now over from all points of view… even legally. So now Christina Aguilera can rejoice and embrace the freedom… not that she hadn’t already done that, but it’s probably nice to know that now she ‘s not going to be getting sued or called into court for anything. Christina Aguilera is probably very revealed that she is now free to drink and spend time with her new boyfriend without any other strings or chains attached.
Whitney Port has insisted she doesn’t actually care if her clothes are fashionable or not. The City star, who has forged a career for herself in the fashion industry, says she looks for clothes that are flattering, not clothes that are on trend. She told Contact Music: “I feel like I’m open to all kinds of silhouettes. As long as it’s flattering on the body it doesn’t matter if it’s really out there. I can be a risk taker when it comes to fashion and I don’t really care if people accept my style.” And she applied the same rule to her hair. “I’m trying to be very experimental with my hair. I’m over my colour really quickly so I change it every two weeks. Recently I got it really blonde but then I thought, ‘I feel so LA’, so now I’ve gone for a strawberry blonde shade instead.”
It seems that the Black Eyed Peas’ singer’s upcoming break has got Josh Duhamel pretty excited about spending some more time with her. This is what he had to say about Fergie’s upcoming break: “We do want to take some time together and I’m excited to have more time with her, but we always consider the other person when we’re doing something and make sure we’re scheduling enough time to be together. That’s the only way to make it work.” Well, Josh Duhamel would know all about making things work now wouldn’t he? After all, he did apparently manage to get out of some real tough spots with Fergie.

Seeing as how it’s already been a while and the extra publicity couldn’t really hurt much it seems that Demi Lovato has decided to talk a little more about her time in rehab and what led to it. This is the latest the singer had to relate on the matter: “I basically had a nervous breakdown. I was really bad off. My parents and manager pulled me aside and said, ‘You need to get some help.’ It was an intervention. I wanted freedom from the inner demons. I wanted to start my life over.” Apparently Demi Lovato succeeded in her goals… but the thing about demons unfortunately is that they can never truly be eternally banished. They might just pop-up for another visit.
Russell Brand has said he and his wife Katy Perry never spend more than eight days apart despite having to travel the world separately because of their work. The star, in Sydney, Australia to promote his new movie, Arthur, said he would have liked to have met up with Katy when she tours Down Under later this month. But he said he had to be back at their Los Angeles home to ‘write something’. “I’d love to be here when she is here,” he said. “We sort of meet up separately from work,” he added. “We never let it go more than seven or eight days, being apart.”
The American Idol judge has recently admitted that she is the happiest when she is at home with her family and not under the scrutinizing eye of the make-up artists that get Jennifer Lopez ready to play her role as dream destroyer on American Idol. This is what Jennifer Lopez said on the matter: “Just being able to touch my face and rub my eyes and put my fingers in my hair and not having to worry about messing it up. It’s so much better.” One must wonder if it would be such a bad and horrifying thing if Jennifer Lopez were to appear on American Idol without any make-up and just be natural… sort of a special episode, if you will. Maybe the producers will actually look into that, after all, those ratings aren’t going to keep themselves up too easily.
