Katie Holmes has reportedly embarked on an ‘extreme’ diet in the belief that it will help her land more movie roles. The 32-year-old actress, who has five-year-old daughter Suri with husband Tom Cruise, has apparently already lost a stone. At 5 ft 9 inches she weighs just eight stone. A source told Now! magazine that friends fear she is taking it too far. “Katie’s been on an extreme diet. She started cutting back on food, particularly protein, to drop a few pounds as she’d seen pictures of herself looking a little heavier than usual. “She’s gone from a UK size-10 to a UK size-6 and she’s still losing weight. “Katie still feels inadequate when it comes to Hollywood. “She thinks she’s only where she is because she’s married to Tom Cruise. “Her view, however wrong, seems to be that getting super-thin is the only way to win more movie roles.”

Actress Tia Mowry is a new mum. The Sister, Sister star and her husband of two years, Cory Hardrict, welcomed a son yesterday in Los Angeles, US website Gossip Cop reports. The 8lb bundle is said to have arrived at around 7:30 am. It is the first child for the 32-year-old, whose pregnancy was documented by The Style Network for a show that will air later this year in the US. Mowry currently appears on BET’s The Game.

This is the notice that has made its appearance on lamp posts all around Cheryl Cole’s home: “Any person who knows of this order and disobeys this order will be in contempt of court and face imprisonment, fined and have their assets seized.” Well, well… it sure looks like Cheryl Cole is serious about her privacy. Hollywood star Jennifer Aniston has admitted she stays skinny by avoiding junk food. The 42-year-old insists she doesn’t maintain a strict diet to get her enviable figure – instead she just limits her intake of junk food. Aniston said: “I’ve never been a fanatic when it comes to what I eat. I’ve always discovered that I can stay fit by avoiding junk foods and eating healthily, while running or exercising regularly. I don’t have any formula.” The Horrible Bosses star exercises on a daily basis and says she especially enjoys doing yoga. She added to British New! magazine: “I love to do yoga. I have more energy if I can workout for 20 minutes every day. If I exercise enough I can eat what I want and not worry about my weight or how I look. “If I put on a few pounds, I just eat more fish and salads for a week and exercise four or five times a week as opposed to two or three times. The important thing is to stick to a healthy routine. “I feel better after a good workout and it gives you more energy for the entire day. I try not to worry or stress about things anymore – I just like to get on with my life.” Jennifer also admitted she feels happier than ever in her forties. She said: “There’s no comparison. I was not in a happy place in my twenties. I was going through a lot of turmoil and doubt. “Even in my thirties I still struggled with a lot of issues. But at some point you grow up or find the keys to living happily.”

Glee star Chris Colfer wants to get Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice a cameo appearance on the show. The 21-year-old actor recently attended the Hard Rock Calling festival in London, where he got the chance to meet the two princesses. Speaking after their meeting, Colfer said to UK newspaper The Sun: “The princesses love Glee. We’ve got the royal seal of approval. Maybe we can get them a cameo on the show. Wouldn’t that be amazing?” An onlooker added: “They looked a bit bedraggled from all the rain but they soon perked up after they saw Kurt was there. “Eugenie especially is a huge fan of Glee and everyone got on like a house on fire. It was a real party atmosphere. “Eugenie was pressing Chris for more information on the third series of Glee, which has been filmed but not aired over here yet.”

Model Kate Moss was turned away from a Pulp gig at the Glastonbury Festival. The 37-year-old star was at the festival in Somerset with a group of friends and her fiance Jamie Hince. They tried to join the 30,000 fans who crammed their way into a set by Pulp at the Park Stage but they were denied entry by security. According to UK newspaper The Sun, Moss looked as though she was giving the security guards a mouthful but it made no difference as they were not allowed in. The band’s frontman Jarvis Cocker was in great spirit as he spoke about their secret set. He said: “Surprise, surprise! You didn’t think we’d let you down, did you?” Cocker added: “The other rumour was that The Killers were playing. Sorry to any Killers fans here.”

I believed public pressure would make the powers that be behave differently but she got what everyone would have.” So there you have it… no special deal for Lindsay Lohan. It’s not like she didn’t deserve a… what was it? Ah yes, third chance to stay out of jail for alcohol abuse. At least this time it really was the charm.

George Clooney is reportedly the one who pulled the plug on his relationship with Elisabetta Canalis. According to her close friend and Chi magazine editor, Alfonso Signorini, Canalis ’stormed off’ when her boyfriend of two-years told her that he wanted out. Speaking on Italian TV show Rai Uno Thursday, Signorini revealed, “It’s all over. It has come as a real surprise to me. They were getting on really well. “From what I know it was him who dumped her and she stormed out of the villa. I’ve tried to get her on the telephone but it’s switched off.” Signorini spent a day with Canalis, 32, just last week, when he said that the pair seemed as loved-up as ever. “She must have had about 60 text messages from George! She was so excited about meeting him as he had a few days off from shooting his film [Gravity, with Sandra Bullock] in London,” he said. Talking about how their relationship worked, Signorini added, “[Clooney] is actually very fatherly but at the same time they did have a very complicated relationship… It’s not easy to be with a star of that calibre. “She was terrified about speaking of their private life because of him and of his lawyers and advisors.”

Actress Emma Stone has reportedly been offered the lead role in the movie Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. The 22-year-old star is said to be in talks about taking on the lead female role in the movie, according to Variety. The film is being directed by Craig Gillespie and the script is being written by Seth Grahame-Smith and Marti Noxon. It’s claimed Lionsgate would not comment on the report that Stone, who will be starring in the new Spiderman movie, has been offered the main role. The film is a spin-off from the classic novel by Jane Austen but Bennet and Mr. Darcy will be fighting zombies.

Prince William doesn’t ‘expect any special provision’ for his birthday and won’t be taking the day off work. The newlywed turned 29 on June 21 but it’s thought he will be spending the day in Anglesey working as a search and rescue pilot instead of putting his feet up. According to Marie Claire, a spokesman for St James’s Palace said: “[It's] a normal working week for the Duke [of Cambridge] and he wouldn’t expect any special provision or day off for his birthday.” However it’s thought he will spend some time with Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, and they will celebrate with friends at their home in Anglesey at some point.

Actress Megan Fox has joined the cast of Sacha Baron Cohen’s new movie The Dictator. Fox, 25, will be making a cameo appearance in the new film from Paramount along with John C. Reilly, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The movie is currently being filmed in New York with Borat’s Larry Charles as the director. It’s claimed both Fox and Reilly’s roles are being kept quiet but Anna Faris, Ben Kingsley and Jason Mantzoukas are also set to star in the flick, which is due for release in May next year. The movie tells the ‘heroic story of a dictator who risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed’.

Hugh Hefner has reportedly let his ex-fiancée Crystal Harris keep her 3-carat engagement ring. The 85-year-old Playboy boss was dumped by Harris, 25, just days before they were due to tie the knot last weekend, but when Crystal returned to the Playboy Mansion to hand back the $90,000 ring, Hefner insisted that she keep it. Talking about her decision to return the ring, she told Radar Online, “It was the right thing to do.” He also let her keep the Bentley he’d given her, but did take back their King Charles dog, Charlie. Taking to Twitter, Hefner added, “Crystal brought Charlie back because she thinks he’s happier here & I appreciate it, because I really missed him.” The adult entertainment mogul is said to have already moved on with Playmate Anna Sophia Berglund, and taking to Twitter on Monday, he said that the split was probably for the best. “Anna is Crystal’s best friend & mine as well. She’s the one who helped me survive this past week. She’s the best,” he wrote. “After all is said and done, staying single is probably the best. I think I just missed a bullet.”

This is what someone at the concert related on the matter: ”It was a pretty wild routine so it’s no wonder it fell out. He didn’t seem in a hurry to put it away. He was definitely up for it. He was going mental, shouting and swearing, trying to get the crowd going before shoving his hands down his trousers. Even though he was like a man possessed, the ladies didn’t complain.” It certainly isn’t something Robbie Williams will be regretting anytime soon. Who knows, with the proper routine, this might even become a new thing.

Actor Josh Stewart is the latest addition to the star-studded cast of The Dark Knight Rises. Josh, who has starred in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Law Abiding Citizen, will feature in the Batman film, according to Variety. The 34-year-old joins Christian Bale, who reprises his role as the Caped Crusader and also Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Gary Oldman and Marion Cotillard, in the movie. The Dark Knight Rises, which is being directed by Christopher Nolan, is set to be released in July 2012.

Harry Potter star Emma Watson has spoken out about kissing Rupert Grint in the wizarding film series admitting it was ‘the weirdest’ experience. The 21-year-old was nicer about her kiss with her other co-star Daniel Radcliffe saying it ‘wasn’t so bad’. Emma told OK! magazine: “Rupert was the weirdest. Dan wasn’t so bad. “I just had to remind myself, I am an actress. I am Hermione, this is a role – but it was really hard.” The actress added: “We just have so much history together. They are like my brothers.” The Perks of Being a Wallflower star also claimed she was more nervous filming her kissing scene with Rupert, 22, than with 21-year-old Daniel. She said: “Dan and I could sort of have a laugh about it. Whereas Rupert’s a bit more quiet so I didn’t really know what he was thinking which made me a bit more nervous.” Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 is due out in July.

The former Sister, Sister star is expecting a baby boy in July with her husband Cory Hardrict and said it’s been great sharing her pregnancy with her twin sister Tamera. She said to America’s Parenting magazine: “Sharing my pregnancy with my twin is the coolest thing in the world. Tamera actually gets to live through me vicariously. “For example, she now knows what SHE will look like, when she decides to have a baby. That is a treat within itself!” However she is happy that she is not expecting a twin after being one herself. She said: “I am so relieved I am not having twins. I tell my mother almost every day I can’t believe she was able to carry all that extra weight. Having one baby kick you in the ribs is one thing, but two!?”

Kate Moss reportedly rounded off her three-day hen weekend with a Sunday lunch on the Isle of Wight. The supermodel and 25 friends, including Jade Jagger and Noel Gallagher’s ex-wife Meg Mathews, are said to have piled into The Priory Bay Hotel looking for something to soak up the alcohol from their boozy weekend at the Isle of Wight Festival. According to The Sun, the girls arrived not-so-fresh from the festival in a pink Hummer and chipped in £45 each for starters of risotto and chicken terrine, main courses of lobster, crab and roast dinners, and red and white wine. A source told the newspaper: “They came in looking worse for wear and said they needed a good feed after their heavy weekend. It didn’t take long for the booze to take effect and the laughing and cackling to start. They were a handful for the waiters and waitresses and sent back several meals.” Kate is set to marry Kills guitarist Jamie Hince next month.

The 37-year-old star is set to tie the knot with Hince, 42, later this year but the pair are taking measures to prepare themselves financially if anything was to go wrong in the future. A source said to UK newspaper Daily Star: “Kate and Jamie are definitely going to sign a pre-nup to ensure Kate’s money and estate are both protected in the event of a divorce. “This is something Jamie wants as much as Kate. He feels very strongly that it’s her money and she’s worked incredibly hard for it in the 23 years since her supermodel career kicked off. “Jamie knows it doesn’t belong to him in any shape or form.”
