What else could one glean from the fact that Jay-Z’s wife recently prevented him from buying a piece of his choice by renowned photographer Laurie Simmons and replaced the purchase with a choice of her own? Jay-Z had only this to say about Beyonce’s initiative on the matter: “It was more of a masculine style, I guess.” It looks like being married to Beyonce has sure brought some manner of style and taste into Jay-Z’s life… either that, or she’s the one that’s wearing the pants in their family. But of course, that would hardly be the case… after all, it’s just a matter of her trumping his decision over a small matter.

Chart-topping star Beyonce left her own husband Jay-Z stunned when she told him “I love you”, at the Grammys.

The couple, who wed in secret in 2008, rarely acknowledge in public that they are even married.

So Beyonce shocked everyone, including her rapper husband, when she got up onstage after winning a Grammy and declared her love for him.

As she accepted the Best Female Vocal Performance award, Beyonce told the audience she was nervous.

She then added: “I’d love to thank my family for all of their support, including my husband. I love you.”

And Jay-Z, 40, looked just as stunned by the shout-out as everyone else.

At this year’s Grammy Awards Beyonce tied a record for most wins by a female performer after taking home six trophies, including Song Of The Year for Single Ladies.

Regardless of the rather unpleasant reviews her new release received, it seems Rihanna still has it going for her. “Hard” is her thirteenth single to make it to the top ten list of the Billboard Hot 100. Given this new performance, Rihanna has actually tied Beyonce for the most songs to be in the tops. You would expect a hard competition to ensue, but Beyonce is going on her break and she’ll probably just let Rihanna take her place without putting up a fight. After all, she’s got her “special” supporters and the private shows. There’s no need for any more pesky fans now.

Singer Beyonce’s mum Tina has filed for divorce from her husband Mathew Knowles.

The 28-year-old singer’s mum filed divorce papers in Harris County in Texas in November to try to end her 29-year marriage to husband Mathew.

The pair have two children, the Video Phone singer and her younger sister Solange.

In October, Mathew was hit with a paternity lawsuit from another woman, and it is not known if this is the reason for their split.

Mathew has been Beyonce’s manager during her successful career so a large sum of money could be battled out for in the courts.

Or so the prophets say events will unfold. It seems that Beyonce has been nominated for no less than 10 Grammy awards. Well, well, look at the paltry rewards she’s sacrificed her life for! The shame of it all! Taylor Swift is the only one who comes close to Beyonce’s achievement with eight nominations, some in the same categories as Beyonce herself. If she gets all ten of them it will be Titanic-mania all over again, musical history and so forth. Worth killing a few months every once in a while, isn’t it? But it’s still probably not going to be enough for Beyonce… nothing ever is.

The singer recently admitted the great drama of her being forced to sacrifice her entire life in order to become famous. This is what Beyonce said about all of her great sacrifices: “I just sacrificed life. Being able to walk down the street and being able to make mistakes and not have it recorded for ever. Being able to have regular relationships and dates. Just regular, normal things that people probably don’t even think about. Sometimes it’s hard. I haven’t had longer than a couple of months off ever in my life, since I was 15. But I was raised that anything that’s worth anything takes a lot of sacrifice. And when anything is too easy for me I get scared.” Really heart-breaking isn’t it? Beyonce speaks as if she’s not married or has the possibility of taking a vacation whenever and wherever she wants… what’s keeping Beyonce so tied up to her work, anyway? Just go… have fun, do it for the little guy who’s stuck behind his desk for the next thirty years for nothing.

The singer has recently taken the decision of postponing a show scheduled for October 25th in Kuala Lumpur, apparently due to the fact that Muslims have been deeming it to be immoral. In the official statement regarding this, Beyonce’s promoter wrote: “The postponement is solely (the) decision of the artist and has nothing to do with other external reasons.” Beyonce must be aware of muslim treatment of things they deem to be immoral… the Christian ritual of burning witches on the stake takes on whole new proportions here. Who knows, she might even change her ways a bit… muslims can also have some very persuasive methods.

Beyonce’s people reportedly stopped her support acts from using her air conditioning during a performance at the F1 Rocks gig in Singapore.

The 28-year-old singer performed at the Grand Prix gig in Singapore, where sweltering temperatures came close to 90 degrees.

It is claimed that the Black Eyed Peas and British DJ Seb Fontaine were really feeling the high temperatures but were not allowed to use the air-pumping fans that Beyonce had for her performance.

Seb, 37, performed before the Sweet Dreams star and said: “We were told: ‘No, they are Beyonce’s fans.’ I wasn’t asking to play her drum kit onstage. I just wanted to keep cool.”

Beyonce reportedly had a crew of 70 for the gig and brought along a 139-page rider detailing her requests.

Singer Beyonce Knowles was so impressed when she overheard a bar singer in Australia she took her entourage to watch her perform.

Beyonce was cycling around Sydney on Sunday when she made an impromptu stop at the Cruise Bar overlooking the iconic Opera House.

Once inside, she and her friends took front-row seats to hear the vocals of Evelyn Duprai from the Eon Beats Trio band who were performing at an event called Sassy Sunday.

The superstar stayed for 90 minutes and even enjoyed a healthy salad whilst enjoying the show.

Evelyn said: “I was just singing as normal, then I looked up at the entrance and Beyonce walked in.

“She had about six people with her and they sat about two meters from where I was singing.

“I had to be cool and calm down, I’m such a fan. It was nerve-wracking!

“We exchanged smiles and she was there for about an hour and a half. I didn’t speak to her though, sadly.”

A spokesman for the bar said: “We call our Sunday music sessions Sassy Sunday and lo and behold, we had the world’s sassiest singer in as a customer.

“Beyonce clapped wildly at the end. She must have been impressed.”

Ex member of girl band Destiny’s Child, Michelle Williams, denies claims that the band will reunite.

The singer, 29, has said she and her fellow bandmates, Beyonce Knowles and Kelly Rowland, don’t plan on getting back together.

The star took to her Twitter page to deny the claims and apologise to fans for the misunderstanding.

She wrote: “I never said DC is getting back together. Just bcuz I said we love each other and are sisters… they took that quote and ran with it! Sorry. (sic)”

The band members went their separate ways back in 2005 to work on solo projects.

Pop superstar Beyonce is being threatened with a million-dollar lawsuit for pulling out of a gig.

The star was advertised to be performing a low-key show at new hip New York club M2 on Saturday.

But club owner Joey Morrissey, who says he agreed to pay $200,000 for the performance, says he was told on the Wednesday before that Beyonce would not be able to perform that night.

The show was supposed to help launch her I Am… Sasha Fierce North American tour, and Morrissey says he had already spent $100,000 in preparation after signing contracts.

"They said they were too busy with the launching of the tour and that they wouldn’t have time to do the kickoff party," Morrissey said.

Morrissey says Beyoncé offered to stop by the club "to hang out for an hour" on Sunday.

He said: "We sold tables for thousands of dollars for the show, and spent $100,000 renting a soundboard and other equipment, as per their stipulations. What good does her showing up for an hour do me? They’ve been totally unwilling to agree to another show."

As a result, Morrissey says he’s now preparing to file suit against Beyoncé, claiming his place has suffered a "loss of reputation" in addition to the sunk cash.

Beyonce believes she has found her Prince Charming in rapper husband Jay-Z, she has revealed.

The 27-year-old, who is performing her I Am… world tour, married Jay-Z, 39, last April.

Asked if she believes she has found her Prince Charming, she said: "Yes, absolutely. I do believe that love can last a lifetime. My parents have been married for 29 years and they’re still in love."

She added: "They’re my best example."

The couple are famous for their refusal to speak about their relationship. She said: "When I was younger, I loved reading about the lives of celebrities, so I understand the interest the media has in my life, but my husband and I prefer not to talk about our lives because that’s our way of protecting our relationship."

The singer also revealed she is planning to become a mum one day.

She added: "But being a woman is difficult because women are all naturally caring, so it’s hard to find the right balance between taking care of yourself and being there for the people that need you. That’s my biggest battle."

Beyonce has revealed she didn’t want to fight Ali Larter in their new film Obsessed as she had seen her action scenes in Heroes.

The 27-year-old stars as a woman whose husband is being stalked by a co-worker, played by Ali, 33.

Beyonce said: "At first, I wasn’t sure I wanted to do it."

She added: "I’ve seen Ali on Heroes and I was like: ‘I don’t think I want to be fighting her!’"

The pair are involved in a girl-on-girl fight scene and she admitted filming for the fight lasted for two days.

Beyonce said: "The pair of us were bruised from the bottom of our wrists up to the top of our shoulders."

She added: "It took a lot of choreography, a lot of planning. We went through certain things and we changed a lot of things. We didn’t want it to be too much of a cat fight."

She added: "So there’s not any hair-pulling. It’s a real brawl."

Tickets for Beyonce’s four night intimate appearances at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas are going fast – but only to those who can afford it. Fans have to buy their tickets along with a two night stay in the hotel with packages ranging from $450 to $850 per person. And that’s just for starters. If that’s too expensive for you and you want to skip the hotel, a limited number of tickets are being sold for $250, $500, $750 and $1000, again, per person. Sources at the Wynn says that ticket-only seating cannot exceed 1% of the ticket sales. That means that only 10-15 tickets in the 1500-seat Encore theater will be available without hotel fees.

Beyonce has revealed that she likes to keep a sense of mystery about herself.

The sexy singer posed seductively in a white one-piece swimsuit as she told Los Angeles Confidential magazine: “I think that it is wonderful to be around for so long and still have some mystery. I’ve always wanted to be known for my music and songs and for the work I’ve done in movies and for being a hardworking person. I like that people don’t know everything about me. It makes me feel a little normal.

The diva also claims her marriage with rapper Jay-Z is “way stronger” than those of non-celebrity couples.

She says: “We’re not perfect, it’s just natural for people to start rumours and try to break things up. You have to have a very strong relationship, way stronger than people who aren’t being scrutinized.”

Below is the clip from a musical medley that Beyonce performed in along with Hugh Jackman who was the host for the evening. The Bubsy Berkley inspired stage performance was quite the show stopper.

Also performing were real-life couples Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical) and Amanda Seyfried and Dominic Cooper (Mamma Mia!). They performed memorable songs from several musicals including Chicago and Moulin Rouge.
