David Cook (last year’s winner on American Idol) is working with AT&T to premiere a sneak peek of his much-awaited new music video, “Come Back To Me,” during a commercial break of American Idol’s Wednesday show (April 1) @ 8PM ET/PT on FOX.
It will also be available for viewing after:
– AT&T wireless customers can obtain a link to watch on their cell phones via AT&T Cellular Video (CV) by texting “COOK” to “8008.”
– AT&T U-Verse customers can access it through their Video On Demand (VOD) menu
– Or it can be viewed online at music.att.net

Hits Daily Double is predicting that Beyonce’s new double CD, I Am…Sasha Fierce, will become the #1 album by next week. The album is expected to sell between 500 and 550 thousand. I’ll wait and see as this is only a prediction. She may sell more. They made a similar prediction for Alicia Keys with As I AM and she sold about 700k first week!
Country cutie Taylor Swift’s sales for her debut sold 592 thousand copies. Taylor Swift’s “White Horse,” a track from her new album Fearless that was featured on the season premiere of Grey’s Anatomy has done extremely well for her. The soulful song will debut at #13 on Billboard’s all-genre Hot 100 singles chart this week, which will give her the 6th Top 20 debut of 2008 breaking the all-time Billlboard record for the number of Top 20 debuts in a calendar year by any artist!
Taylor’s other five songs that made the Top 20 include “Change”, “Fearless”, “You’re Not Sorry”, “You Belong With Me” and “Love Story”.
The previous record winner with five Top 20 debuts this year was held by her ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas and his brothers.
David cook will be in the recording studio working on his debut album over the summer. The AI winner plans to get it done while being on the road with the AI Live! Tour 2008 which starts July 1 in Glendale Arizona.
Some of the tour cities will be: Las Vegas, LA, Detroit, Baltimore and Philadelphia and is expected to wrap up on September 13 in Tulsa Oklahoma.
Cook has signed on with 19 Recordings/RCA Records and his digital songs chart is on fire with 17 tracks in the top 100, a record for a solo artist!Congrats!
His first single, “The Time Of My Life,” has sold 236,000 digital tracks on iTunes in four days, making it theNo. 1 — best single debut of any “American Idol” since season 2.
Congrats David Cook! I have to say that American Idol really put on a show. There was dancing (from So You Think You Can Dance, I am pretty sure I saw Hawk) singing from quite a few stars… such as One Republic, Donna Summers, George Michael and ZZtop…) and of course the Top 12 Idols. They really dragged it on, whored it out with endorsements for the Love Guru, and Ford…. I have to say I was pretty impressed with the show they had a lot of good performances.
I was really moved that David Cook cried, I thought he was a bit of a cocky b*stard at times, but it was very sweet to see him all caught up in the moment!
