Lindsay Lohan is featured in new commercial for the Spring/Summer 2009 ad campaign for the Italian fashion line Fornarina.
A rep for Fornarina told press:
“[Lindsay] is that very self-confident, dynamic woman. She’s got a lot of attitude. That’s what we’re hoping our customer will aspire to.”
Director Marco Bragaglia shows Lindsay as a modern day “Alice in Wonderland” who is checking out three metaphysical settings with fluctuating geometrical shapes in neon colors. The commercial was filmed earlier this year in L.A at “Hollywood Center Studios.”
TMZ is reporting that their sources have confirmed to them that the woman who sent the text message to Chris Brown on THE night that resulted in the assault against Rihanna was from his manager Tina Davis. Apparently, it was she who had sent him a 3 page text message to his cell phone suggesting they hook up later. When Rihanna read it, she did the freak (slapped him first) and things escalated from there.
The detective’s affidavit stated the text was:
“from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with.”
Davis who will be turning 40 years old this month has been rumored to have had a relationship with Chris when he was 16… although both of them have denied it.

Even after receiving thousands of requests to remove Chris Brown from the nominee list, the team over at Nickelodeon are allowing his Kids Choice Awards nominations to remain.
Chris is nominated for Favorite Male Singer and also for “Kiss Kiss” for Favorite Song.
It is very upsetting that the network has not taken a more pro-active stand against domestic violence because the evidence is overwhelming. It not only includes pictures and Rihanna’s own words in the police report, but a text from Brown himself to her manager admitting and apologizing for his actions saying he was going to get help for his anger issues.
E! is reporting that Chris and Rihanna are planning to record a duet together for his Greatest Hits Album.
The artist formerly known as the Artist Formerly Known as Prince has announced that he will be releasing a three-disc CD album collection package sold exclusively through Target and Target.com for only $11.98.
The three-disc set will include two new studio albums from the music master and pioneering music distributor: LOtUSFLOW3R and MPLSoUND as well as a full length album Elixer from his latest discovery, unknown new artist Bria Valente.
The set will be on sale at Target March 29th.
Prince’s offerings these past 5 years has been fairly solid in my opinion, Musicology and 3121 were intentionally commercial. I am disappointed that Prince won’t embrace iTunes but I am thrilled he is willing to try different distribution models.
I’m liking what I’ve heard so far on his website so a shopping trip to Target is a yes for me!
Here is a sneak peek of Louis Vuitton’s newest ad campaign with the one and only Madonna. There are six photos in the series and they were taken by Steven Meisel which is the same photographer that worked with Madonna on her scandalous book Sex many years ago.
Marc Jacobs who is Vuitton’s designer and creative director told WWD that he “just blurted out, ‘I think we should do Madonna’” at a meeting after having attended her concert the night before and “was totally just blown away by it, and moved by her performance, by what she had to say, and her energy.”
Jacobs went on to say that it was he who contacted her by text message, and that she answered him back within 5 minutes saying: “I’d love to.”
When asked about her reported 10 million salary Jacobs said:
“It’s very far away from that.”
The photos reflect the classic elegant Parisian style of Jacobs’ spring Vuitton collection, and Jacob says that the photos:
“feel more like portraits,”… are very contemporary despite their sepia tones and almost cliche French references. He adds: “It looks like beautiful, gorgeous Madonna.”
She does look amazing for woman of 50. Madonna was photographed carrying a LV and no store could keep it in stock, They even started calling it “The Madonna bag”! She was “selling” for LV even before this campaign.
Former “American Idol” star Carrie Underwood decided to voice her opinion, and in the process, slam famous celebs such as: Justin Timberlake, Sly Stallone, Ben Affleck and Oprah (just to name a few) because they have all chosen to go public with their endorsement of a presidential candidate.
Underwood told TV Guide:
“There is someone I do support, but I don’t support publicly. I lose all respect for celebrities when they back a candidate. It’s saying that the American public isn’t smart enough to make their own decisions. I would never want anybody to vote for anything or anybody just because I told them to. Music is where you go to get away from all the BS. Whether it’s from politics or just the world around you, music should be an escape.”
Doesn’t Carrie think that people are capable of making their own decisions? She makes it sound as if all celebs that endorse a candidate are doing so to sway their fans. The fans can make their own minds up.
It’s actually insulting of her to think that ‘fans’ just follow what a celebrity does and says. Some do, but many don’t. I’d like to think that a celebrity, an athlete, an actor, a musician can speak up just the same way someone in any other profession can and does… like Joe the plumber!
New York City got a lovely touch of green today, thanks to Bette Midler’s New York Restoration Project and 50 Cent’s G Unity Foundation working together. The celeb duo worked their collective butts off to restore a community garden in the Jamaica neighborhood of Queens, New York. The newly crowned Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson Community Garden’s restoration is the vision of famous landscape architect and designer Walter Hood. 50 Cent was very generous with his donations.
Bette Midler sung his praises:
“He stepped up to the plate to fund this project,” she went on to add, “And when it ended up costing $100,00 more than we anticipated, he didn’t bat an eyelid. He wrote the check!”
50 Cent who grew up in the neighbourhood wanted to help restore the garden as part of his ongoing efforts to give back to the neighborhood where he grew up. To celebrate the opening of the garden children from Myrtle P Jarmon Day Care Center who use it as a part of their programe were featured. Council members, teachers and members of the community put in appearances to mark the occasion with a Halloween themed party.
50 Cent said:
“It’s nice to be able to give back to this next generation of kids,” he went on to say, “This is the first of many projects I’m going to do in this community.”
Victoria Beckham will now model for Giorgio Armani’s Emporio Armani women’s underwear collection. Mr. Armani released this statement:
“Who better than Victoria Beckham to launch our new global Emporio Armani underwear campaign? Victoria is a style icon, a dynamic lady whose influence and recognition will add great excitement to the continued international growth of our underwear business.”
Victoria’s advertisement campaign will debut in early 2009. Her pictures will be everywhere, on posters, billboards and in fashion magazines. Fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott will be doing the photo shoots for the advertisements. They are the same duo who shot her hubby David Beckham’s sexy Armani underwear ads.
I don’t know about this picture or the look of the underwear for that matter. When I look at her I am reminded that she is the mother of three young boys, and posing this way, dressed like that, well… it just seems a tad much.
The women of Heart have sent off a cease and desist letter to the Republican Party asking them to stop using their hit single Barracuda as a theme song for Sarah Palin:
“The Republican campaign did not ask for permission to use the song, nor would they have been granted that permission,†said their initial email to the campaign. When it was still played, Nancy Wilson called Entertainment Weekly to vent. “I think it’s completely unfair to be so misrepresented. I feel completely fucked over,†she said. She and her sister Ann then emailed this statement to EW.com: “Sarah Palin’s views and values in NO WAY represent us as American women. We ask that our song ‘Barracuda’ no longer be used to promote her image. The song ‘Barracuda’ was written in the late ’70s as a scathing rant against the soulless, corporate nature of the music business, particularly for women. (The ‘barracuda’ represented the business.) While Heart did not and would not authorize the use of their song at the RNC, there’s irony in Republican strategists’ choice to make use of it there.â€
Hmmm, I don’t think they got the memo since the GOP had it playing after McCain’s speech at the RNC while the red, white, and blue balloons fell!
So I went to Vegas over the weekend to check out why all these celebrities go there. I have to tell you that I don’t think I have ever seen so many douches in one place… they strut their stuff, with their popped collars and skin tight shirts. Even my boyfriend commented on it as he couldn’t believe how many of them were strutting around. I wanted to take pictures of each one but frankly I didn’t have enough memory on my SD card to get all of them. Nor did I want to get beat up for snapping secret shots. Although I bet if I went up to them and asked for a photo they would have posed gladly.
I typed in douche in google image search and this picture popped up and I laughed my ass off as it was exactly what I saw all weekend.
Britney showing her love for Louis Vuitton in one of her videos without permission is not a good idea. The company has come to an agreement and made an out of court settlement with Sony BMG, which also represents Da Brat, and Reuben Stoddard – all of whom used the brand without authorization.
Louis Vuitton was awarded an undisclosed settlement after battling the label for the past five years. The amount of the sum is reportedly around $300,000. The design house didn’t like the use of the Louis Vuitton brand in a Da Brat video back in 2003, when the rapper was playing with an LV-printed beach ball.
It also didn’t approve of other uses of their designer label. Britney Spears rolled around in a pink Hummer with an LV-patterned dashboard in the “Do Somethin’ ” video. When asked about the video, the spokesperson said, “We don’t make dashboards.”
“American Idol” winner Ruben Studdard’s R&B 2006 album, “The Return,” showed a jacket with the monogram label printed on it.
“We believe the terms of this agreement will provide strong protection to our brand worldwide,” Nathalie Moulle-Berteaux, a spokesperson for the Parisian fashion house, said in a statement. She added that the label also agreed “to educate its record labels,” which include Arista, Columbia and Epic, about copyright laws.
A spokesperson for the record label declined to comment on the issue.
Britney went shopping at True Religion. I wonder if she even had to pay for any of that expensive stuff. They wrote her name on the bag, which seems pretty sweet. She was probably having the time of her life picking up everything she wanted. Man I wish I could just go wild like the stars do. The more I blog the more I envy them. They make tons of money and get everything for free, when people like myself work and have to buy everything!
Here is Hilary Duff at the Cartier charity event. Hilary was there with boyfriend Mike Comrie. I am glad to see they are still going strong together. I really like that Hilary is a long term relationship kind of gal. It really makes me respect her more as a person that she isn’t sleeping around with every guy out there.
Hilary is still a fan of black nailpolish.. I wonder if she will ever grow out of that and just paint her nails red or something! I guess black does match with everything, but still a bit punk… or even gothic..
Mariah Carey will have another perfume hitting the market in September called Luscious Pink. This new scent will feature the bouquet of the Tahitian tiareflower and hints of lily of the valley, pink peony and white musk. I guess the Perfume market is an easy money grab. They are basically bottling water and selling it for between 40-90 dollars oh and did I mention they throw in a cheap purse, or makeupbag? I have only used one of the many free gifts I have.. its a black and hot pinkbag from the Liv Tyler Givenchy perfume the only catch it doesn’t zip closed.
Perfume is pure profit (as long as it doesn’t stink)

Kevin Federline received the Father of the Year award from Prive in Las Vegas. What has this world come too? First Lindsay’s mom got crowned, and now Kevin Federline? Why not someone like Hilary Duff’s dad who raised a good daughter? It is almost like they do stupid stuff to get publicity. They knew Kfed would show up to accept his lame ass reward so why not give it to him. It will get the paparazzi out, to the event.. I suppose Kevin did do quite a turn around compared to when he was with Britney but he still shouldn’t even qualify for Father of the Year.
Everyone is saying that Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson have broken up, but then I am seeing pictures of them all over the place. Here they are having dinner at N9NE in Dallas. Why would they be having dinner together if they were broken up? I think they are totally a couple, and just started rumors so people would talk about them. You know that celebrities love it when people gossip! Jessica is like an endorsement for Tony, without her he is just some stupid sports player.
Paris Hilton made an appeareance in Montreal’s department store Browns. What I am curious to know is how well this shoe line is going to sell. We have been seeing a lot of celebrity products on the market in the recent months and I am really curious to know how well they actually sell. Everytime I turn around I hear about some sort of fashion line, whether its Paris, Lindsay, Heidi, Hilary, Ashlee, JLo, Diddy, VBeckham… etc… will this madness ever end? We all like to know about their lives but do we really want them penetrating ours?
Madonna is on the cover of the Vanity Fair green issue… I am not sure this woman was the right choice for a ‘green issue’. Unless of course they mean someone that wastes money. Remember Madonna flies her special Kabbalah water to wherever she goes, she probably takes a private jet and alot of other wasteful things. On another note Madonna said she wouldn’t ever sing a few of her hit songs unless she got 30 million dollars. She is totally just throwing that out there on purpose because she actually wants some rich Billionair to pay her that much. Notice how it is such a specific number ‘30 million’. Not 100 million, not 10 million. She has totally put a price on Like A Virgin!

There are reports that Jennifer Lopez is going to get $6 million from People Magazine for pictures of her twins Emme and Max. Jennifer only agreed to take the magazine offer only if they would stop calling her JLo and only if Skeletor got to shoot the pictures. What strange demands this girl has, but that is why we love her isn’t it!?
I wonder what she has against the nick name, I personally love it, and if I was JLo I would embrace it. I wonder what she wants her new nick name to be. I bet she hates that all the blogs call her JLo and Skeletor. ‘JLo has that glow’, it her rhyming slogan and its perfect for her. Maybe she doesn’t like it because many of the blogs call Lindsay Lohan LiLo. It is pretty similar!
Beyonce’s father and manager Mathew Knowles has issued a response to Aretha Franklin’s comments about Beyonce introducing Tina Turner as the “Queen” at the Grammys. Aretha, known as the Queen of Soul, was miffed at the remark and told People in a statement yesterday: “I am not sure of whose toes I may have stepped on or whose ego I may have bruised between the Grammy writers and Beyonce, however I dismissed it as a cheap shot for controversy. In addition to that, I thank the Grammys and the voting academy for my 20th Grammy and love to Beyonce anyway.”
Her dad said Thursday in a statement to People magazine, “Something this ridiculous — it’s childish, it’s unprofessional. And it’s a sad day when egos get bruised because somebody used the word king, queen, prince or princess.”
I am actually quite surprised that Aretha was so upset about it.. Tina is just as deserving as a Queen because that girl really has a voice! I am really surprised that Beyonce’s dad even talked about it. You would think everyone would just ignore Aretha’s comment!
