It looks like Avril Lavigne is so ready to be single again. As it was earlier reported, the Canadian pop punk singer has split from her husband of three years, Sum 41 rocker Deryck Whibley. Shortly after that news broke, Avril confirmed the news via her official blog saying “Deryck and I have been together for 6 and a half years. We have been friends since I was 17, started dating when I was 19, and married when I was 21. I am grateful for our time together, and I am grateful and blessed for our remaining friendship. I admire Deryck and have a great amount of respect for him. He is the most amazing person I know and I love him with all my heart. Deryck and I are separating and moving forward on a positive note.”

John Mayer dressed up for his Mayercraft Cruise that departed from Long Beach, CA on Friday looking like the long lost son of Captain Stubing from that hit 70’s show, The Love Boat.

Rumour has it that his ex-girlfriend Jennifer Anniston dumped him because he was addicted to Twitter. He had this to say about the phase he’s going through to E! News recently:

“It’s inherently silly and it’s inherently dumb. If you really think that Twitter is the pathway to spiritual enlightenment, well…It’s one step away from sending pictures of your poop. I don’t have a devotion to Twitter. I didn’t sell out to Twitter. You do Twitter until everybody gets off of Twitter and it’s something else you go and try out.”

He left this tweet awhile ago:

“Watched the sunset. I just had a beer with the unknown, and it’s actually really cool if you shut up and listen to what it has to say.”

TMZ is reporting that 110 passengers became ill on the cruise and needed to be taken off the boat. Wonder if it was after they watched this sniffing performance??!!

Miley Cyrus, has posted a response on her blog trying to explain away this picture of her and her much older friends making a ‘goofy’ face. She doesn’t get it though. “I’m sorry if……….. ” is not a apology!

It’s all over the internet and the news that she was being racially insensitive when she did this and so this is her attempt at damage control.

Miley wrote on her blog:

“I’ve also been told there are some people upset about some pictures taken of me with friends making goofy faces! Well, I’m sorry if those people looked at those pics and took them wrong and out of context!

In NO way was I making fun of any ethnicity! I was simply making a goofy face. When did that become newsworthy? It seems someone is trying to make something out of nothing to me. If that would of been anyone else, it would of been overlooked! I definitely feel like the press is trying to make me out as the new ‘BAD GIRL’!

I feel like now that Britney is back on top of her game again, they need someone to pick on! Lucky me! haha Anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know what is on my heart. You guys know me and have been by my side every step of the way! You guys know my heart and know the most important things to me are my friends, family, fans, and GOD! In NO WAY do I want to disappoint any of you! But, when I have made mistakes in the past, I feel like I’ve owned up to them and apologized.”

Miley is digging herself into a hole, does she actually think that her “goofy face” excuse is going to fly?

I don’t know what’s more disturbing, drunk/stoned adults doing “Asian eyes” or a 16-year-old GIRL sitting on her 21-year-old boyfriend’s lap! Teens will be teens, I know she’s having her fun but, with a life constantly in the spotlight, she needs to stop doing dumba** stunts and think before she acts. Anytime anyone takes a picture, it will most likely end up on Facebook or Myspace.

Britney Spears was one of the 33 high-profile Twitter users whose profiles were hacked yesterday, (Monday), this latest incident just after a phishing scam that had many Twitter users directed to a fake homepage where they unknowingly gave their log-in information.

The hacker posted nasty comments about the people and companies whose profiles were targeted. Some of the other celebrity victims were: President-elect Barack Obama, Fox News, Huffinton Post, and Rick Sanchez of CNN.

Rude postings about the size of Britney’s private parts were put up on her Twitter site, while comments about using “crack” appeared on Sanchez’s page. Negative remarks about the romantic tendencies of Bill O’Reilly showed up on Fox News’s page.

Twitter has deleted the fake posts and reset the passwords on the hacked accounts.

The social networking site says they don’t think that this latest security breach was in any way related to the phishing scam that occurred this past weekend.

In that incident, users were directed to a phony site with an address almost identical to that of the actual Twitter log-in page. The fake page seemed identical to the legitimate page, as it also had working text input areas and radio buttons.

When users attempted to log-in, they got an 404 error page instead, with their log-in information covertly recorded.

Twitter posted a small notice on the page of each user warning them about the attacks.

Firefox warns users before allowing access to that type of phony site, but Internet Explorer does not give any warning.

“Twitter is a social-networking blog site that allows users to send status updates, or “tweets,” from cell phones, instant messaging services and Facebook in less than 140 characters.”

Biz Stone, co-founder of Twitter wrote on the site’s blog that the accounts were compromised after a hacker accessed tools the support team uses when a Twitter user wants to reset their log-in information, or forgets their info.

Lindsay Lohan wrote this on her blog to clear up some misinformation that has been all over the net.

She writes:

Access Hollywood reported on Monday that Lindsay and SaMan had split up and that Lindsay had moved out of the place she shared with Samantha. Lindsay wants us all to hear it straight from her, the rumours are NOT true.

They’ve had such a volatile relationship lately, we’ll have to wait and see if they are out and about doing the public displays of affection.

I was waiting for his response to the media frenzy that incurred when Kanye got himself arrested for allegedly slamming a camera into a paparazzo’s face the other day in England. Here it is for your enjoyment. Isn’t it so typically Kanye to do the entire RANT in CAPS? If you don’t want to read the entire thing, basically he says he was only trying to protect his private space and held his hand up to the camera. From the looks of the small scratches on the pap’s nose, it was kind of obvious that since the ‘damage’ was so slight, there really was no reason for the police to charge him.

HERE’S WHAT HAPPENED…WHEN I LEFT THE CLUB, I WAS ENCOUNTERED BY A THIRSTY PAPARAZZI AS USUAL. HE FELT HE HAD MORE RIGHTS TO MY SPACE THAN ME, SO I PUT MY HAND UP TO PREVENT HIM FROM TAKING MY IMAGE. I DIDN’T ASSAULT HIM BUT MERELY PUTTING MY HAND UP TO COVER HIS LENS. MY SECURITY YELLED, “GET THE CAMERA OFF HIM.” I GUESS IN ALL THE COMMOTION THE CAMERA SCRAPED HIS NOSE.

THREE HOURS LATER I GET A KNOCK AT MY HOTEL DOOR. THERE WERE FIVE POLICE OFFICERS IN FRONT OF MY ROOM AND I HAD NO IDEA WHY. I HAD MY SECURITY GO SPEAK WITH THEM. THE COPS WERE VERY CORDIAL BUT TOLD ME THEY HAD TO ARREST ME BECAUSE A COMPLAINT WAS FILED. THAT WAS THE BOGUS PART. THEY PLACED ME IN HANDCUFFS AND DROVE ME TO THE STATION. THEY SPOKE ABOUT HOW THIS WAS OBVIOUSLY A PUBLICITY STUNT BY THE PHOTOGRAPHER BUT THEY STILL HAD TO GO THOUGH THE MOTIONS. WHEN I GOT BACK TO THE HOTEL THERE WERE PAPARAZZI HANGING OVER THE BRIDGE ABOVE THE HOTEL TRYING TO GET A SHOT OF ME GETTING OUT THE POLICE VAN. EVEN THOUGH I WASN’T CHARGED, THE DAMAGE WAS DONE. SURE ENOUGH THE NEXT MORNING, PLASTERED ACROSS EVERY MEDIA OUTLET… KANYE GETS ARRESTED. IT DIDN’T MATTER THAT I WASN’T CHARGED OR THE FACT THAT I HADN’T ASSAULTED ANYONE. ALL THAT MATTERED WAS THAT I WAS ARRESTED.

SIDEBAR, THEY QUOTED ME AS SAYING…”GET THE CAMERA OFF HIM!” LIKE I WAS TALKING IN THIRD PERSON. HE TRIED TO MAKE ME SOUND LIKE A CRAZY PERSON AND PEOPLE BELIEVED HIM. WHAT MERIT DOES THIS GUY HAVE THAT HE CAN SAY SOMETHING ABOUT ME AND PEOPLE TAKE IT AS LAW? THE FACT THAT HE COULD GET ME ARRESTED OFF A MERE COMPLAINT BUT I CAN’T ASK HIM TO STOP TAKING PICTURES OF ME IS VERY LOPSIDED.

WHO’S WINNING, ME OR THE MEDIA?

One of Brit boys, Jaden James was taken to the hospital in Mississippi yesterday and admitted for observation. The little guy apparently had a bad allergic reaction to something he had eaten, which made him break into hives and feel ill. Brit’s website posted this message:

“Jayden James Federline was admitted to the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center on Sunday, November 9th. Doctors concluded he had a reaction to something he ingested. He is expected to be discharged tomorrow.”

If this was anyone else other than Britney, it wouldn’t have made the news. It’s kind of sad that she takes them on one trip and a trip to the hospital emergency room had to happen. I bet Britney must be so upset that this happened. I can just imagine her saying to herself “Oops I did it again!” or how about “Oh, damnit, this is going to be all over the news!”

Despite the fact that a lot of what has happened over the last year or so has been self-inflicted, she has been trying to get her life back on track. Even with her wealth, it can’t be easy being her.

Jennifer Hudson has asked for help in her MySpace blog regarding her 7 year old nephew who has been missing since the tragedy. She says:

“Thank you all for your prayers and your calls. Please keep praying for our family and that we get Julian King back home safely. If anyone has any information about his whereabouts please contact the authorities immediately. Here is a picture of Julian and what he was last seen wearing. Once again thank you all for being there for us through this tough time.”

The Cook County Medical Examiner told TMZ that Jennifer arrived to identify the bodies of her mother, Darnell, and brother Jason. I can’t imagine the pain she must be in having lost them in such a horrific way.

William Balfour has been named “a person of interest” in the shootings and is now under the custody of the Illinois Department of Corrections for breaking the terms of his parole, but the “homicide investigation is still active and ongoing” reports TMZ.

The Chicago police are distributing flyers of Julian in the hopes someone will recognize him.

Here is a clip from her bf Jermaine Dupre’s video blog. She is rehearsing for her Rock Witchu tour and he walks in on her and gets her to give him the scoop on who her opening act is and she does so unwillingly. The tour kicks off September 10th in Vancouver, B.C.

Lindsay typed a well thought out opinionated political commentary which is quite the change of pace compared to the usual stuff she writes about on her blog (yesterday’s had her posting about Dixie Cup ice cream cups) although I wonder who she thinks really wants to hear her discourse on politics? Like I give two sh**s.

I didn’t know she has a degree in Poli Sci… her bad girl days of the recent past doing cocaine, starving herself and binge drinking into oblivion distracted me from the deep thinker she is at heart.

I’ve been watching the news all morning, like everyone else – and i keep hearing about the issues related to ‘teen pregnancy’- It’s all related to Sarah Palin and her 17 year old unmarried pregnant daughter. Well, I think the real problem comes from the fact that we are taking the focus off of getting to know Sarah Palin and her political views, and what she can do to make our country a less destructive place. Its distracting from the real issues, the real everyday problems that this country experiences.

I am concerned with the fact that Sarah Palin brought the attention to her daughter’s pregnancy, rather than all world issues and what she believes she could possibly do to change them-if elected. I get Sarah Palin’s views against abortion, but i would much prefer to hear more about what she can do for our country rather than how her daughter is going to have a child no matter what.

Maybe focus on delivering some words and policy with stronger impact like Joe Biden.

MONROE, Michigan (CNN) — Sen. Barack Obama said firmly that families are off-limits in the campaign for president, reacting to news that GOP running mate Sarah Palin’s 17-year-old daughter is pregnant.

“Let me be as clear as possible,” Obama said. “I think people’s families are off-limits, and people’s children are especially off-limits. This shouldn’t be part of our politics. It has no relevance to Gov. Palin’s performance as governor or her potential performance as a vice president.”

Obama said reporters should “back off these kinds of stories” and noted that he was born to an 18-year-old mother.

“How a family deals with issues and teenage children, that shouldn’t be the topic of our politics, and I hope that anybody who is supporting me understands that’s off-limits.” »

On another note-the last note- i heard a woman say on TODAY on NBC that teens are feeling as if they have to grow up faster. Really? Because, i think that girls that are CHOOSING to be sexually active and are making a conscious decision to grow up faster….. I think that parents need to recognize how important it is to talk to their children about the things that can result from being sexually active if they aren’t protecting themselves (birth control, condoms, etc.)
