He apparently did justice to his name… both him and his brother, Benji. Apparently, while being interviewed on an Australian radio show, Benji Madden was blindfolded while Joel was being shown a picture of Britney Spears’ “stuff” to see if Benji could pick up on his brother’s negative emotions. He didn’t have too long to do it, because after passing this test, on the second one Joel Madden simply decided to bail and take his brother with him. Looks like it’s not only the Australians that get pissed off because of Britney Spears, she’s developing quite the nasty reputation. It might not be exactly what she was going for with her comeback.

Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden has revealed that he chose to call his newborn son Sparrow because he wanted to make life hard for him.

The star said that he chose the unusual moniker for his son, who was born in September, to offset the privileged upbringing the baby boy will have and to teach him how to stand up for himself.

Madden, who also has a 21-month-old daughter Harlow with Richie, said: “It reminded me of the Johnny Cash song A Boy Named Sue.

“My worry raising a son in Hollywood is, what will he have to struggle for? I wanted to give him a name that he’s going to have to stand up for. I love it, I think it’s a beautiful name.”

He also said that he is amazed at how dedicated Richie is to raising their family.

He said: “While I’m working, it all piles on Nicole. She takes care of the kids, and it never gets to her.

“She doesn’t feel like she’s giving up anything – she is wholeheartedly their mum.”

It seems that the Good Charlotte rocker and the actress have secretly got married in a private ceremony a few days ago. Apparently, their spokesperson didn’t comment on the matter, however a source did provide this info as to Nicole Richie’s decision of marrying Joel Madden: “Nicole has never been in a rush to get married to Joel. She’s so happy with him and their little family that she didn’t feel the need to change the way things were between them. But when Adam died, she freaked out. She realized life is fragile and short. She doesn’t want to have any regrets at all, and she does want to be Joel’s wife.” We’ll see how long this one lasts… after all, if life is so fragile and short, why would anyone want to spend it all with just one person? Get as much experiences crammed up in there as possible!

Nicole Richie’s dad Lionel doesn’t know why she named her new son Sparrow.

Legendary singer Lionel, 60, claims to not even know what Sparrow means.

He said: “I have no idea where that came from. I will ask her, it is very interesting. With the excitement of the baby, you don’t go into the name just yet. When I heard it, I thought it was my job just to go ‘absolutely’.

“I will ask about Sparrow and she will have a story.”

Richie also adds that his daughter is in better shape than ever after giving birth to her second child Sparrow.

Nicole, 27, and her partner singer Joel Madden, 30, have two kids together, newly born Sparrow James Midnight Richie Madden and baby girl Harlow Winter Kate Richie Madden who was born in January 2008.

Lionel continued: “I’m just very proud of Joel (Madden) and of Nicole. One thing I love about Nicole is when she makes her mind up to do something, it’s done. When Joel came along she found that one person, that partner that she needed to kind of get her into that mode of taking care of herself and paying attention to her lifestyle.

“And then of course when Mouse number one and Mouse number two came along that was it, and I can tell you right now she is a different person.”

Good Charlotte star Joel Madden has revealed someone recently tried to sell him a baby.

The 30-year-old is dating Nicole Richie and they have a one-year-old daughter Harlow and expect their second child later this year.

He revealed that some people made him a startling offer that he wasn’t sure was genuine.

Joel posted a message on Twitter saying: "Today some people in traffic tried to sell me a baby. A live human baby. I didn’t know what to say. I said a little prayer for the kid. Wow."

He added: "It all happened so fast. I was trying to figure out if they were serious, and i think when my reaction was not a good one, they just took off."

Joel later added: "I mean look. Chances are they were joking. The scary part is i really couldn’t tell. Maybe i’m just one gullible fool."

Benji Madden has found himself a new blonde! None other than Paris Hilton! Doesn’t she have herpes?  Why would any sane guy date her and risk infection. It seems like every one in Hollywood must be dirty because Paris  gets around.

I guess Nicole, Joel, Paris and Benji will be double dating up a storm. Considering we haven’t seen Nicole and Joel with the baby since it was born. They have been out partying non stop since the birth. (Thanks to Perez for spilling th enews, and for the picture)

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden welcomed a beautiful baby girl today.

“The beautiful healthy baby girl left the hospital with her ecstatic parents,” Nicole’s publicist says. The baby’s name is Harlow Winter Kate Madden. Talk about a long name! I wonder why they through winter in there, I guess they had to be original.

I love how Nicole’s hair was dyed immediately to get rid of her roots.. she is sure on top of her image. I wonder  how long it will take her to lose her baby weight. I hope she never does and stays the size she is!

Brand and Angelina better watch out because there is a new couple on the blog ready to do the world some good.

Nicole and Joel donated all their baby shower gifts to a children’s charity.  Joel looks terrible with that beard, but Nicole is looking pretty cute with her swollen belly. Isn’t it sweet that Joel is holding her belly like its a prize. I bet Hilary just looks at these pictures and wants to puke!

Finally Joel Madden decided to pop the question, you think he would have done it long before her pregnancy rumors started, he seemed to so whipped anyway!

Good Charlotte was performing on stage, and the dj shouted out “He got engaged yesterday. Congratulations, Joel!”

I wonder if they will have the wedding after the baby or before to make sure it isn’t a bast*rd child. We all know that Hollywood doesn’t really care about getting married before having a baby anyway.

Well, Nicole Richie finally confirmed that she is 4 months pregnant! Could she drag it out any longer?! She confirmed in an interview with ABC Dianne Saywer. I bet Hilary Duff’s heart got crushed just a little bit! Joel Madden seems so happy with Nicole its almost strange. I don’t  know how he could love someone who doesn’t love themselves. This baby may be the best thing that ever happened for Nicole, maybe she will get her life in order. I guess wedding bells will be in the picture sooner rather than later!
