Corey Feldman has spoken about his pride in Katherine Jackson’s strength since her son Michael passed away.
The former teen star and long-time friend of the superstar made the comments after attending an event sponsored by the Jackson Family Foundation at the Beverly Hilton that brought together the King of Pop’s family and friends.
June 25 marked the one-year anniversary of the Thriller singer’s death.
“It was very nice actually,” the Stand By Me star told Access Hollywood. “I gave a bit of a speech and hopefully I did all right.
“I got a chance to see Tito and he was great, I got a chance to see Mrs Jackson and she was doing wonderful.
“She’s barrelling through it and she’s a strong woman and God bless her. I’m so proud of her for being able to make it through this so steadily.”
Omer Bhatti, an alleged love child of Michael Jackson, has slowly filled the paternal shoes of the late Jackson for Prince Michael I, Paris Katherine and Prince Michael II.
Bhatti, 25, who spent time under the king of pop’s tutelage, has been living with the three children at the family compound in Encino, RadarOnline reports in an exclusive.
Sources said the Norwegian Bhatti, who showed up on Jackson’s doorstep in 1996, told the children: “Call me Michael.”
He regularly introduces himself as “Michael”. The three children are in the permanent guardianship of their grandmother, Katherine. The Jacksons are a tight-knit clan and Michael’s siblings and their children make for a regular presence in Encino.
Radar notes the California Department of Children and Family Services recently visited the home after a stun gun was linked to the children. The Jacksons denied that Prince Michael II, aka Blanket, got near the item, which was ordered by an older child over the internet.
“Omer has even told the children he has changed his name from Omer Jamal Bhatti to Omer Michael Bhatti. He has infiltrated the Jackson family in a way that many find to be disturbing and detrimental to the children,” said a source close to the family.
Actress Brooke Shields has revealed that Michael Jackson thought he was dying and that she wasn’t surprised by the King of Pop’s death.
The former Suddenly Susan star, 44, made her comments in a US magazine.
She said: “He [Jackson] thought he was dying already.”
And while she was devastated by her famous friend’s death last June, Shields said that she was not surprised.
She said: “They were killing him – the people and the press.”
The Lipstick Jungle star also spoke out in defence of Jackson who faced child-sex abuse charges and a high-profile trial in 2005.
The mum-of-two said that she never believed the music legend was a child molester and that she warned him that his sleepovers with young boys would be misunderstood, telling him: “Michael, the world’s not going to get it.”
The former child star, who started modelling at the age of 11 months, also revealed that she doesn’t want her two daughters – Rowan, six, and Grier, three – to go into showbiz.
She said: “It’s a high like you can’t imagine… But, no, I don’t want them involved. Every day you’re told what you are not – you’re not short enough, you’re not thin enough, you’re not pretty enough.
Tito Jackson is being accused of single handedly ruining a Michael Jackson tribute concert last year and now, the guy behind the show is looking to settle the score. A concert promoter named Roy Isaac has sent a letter to Tito demanding that he return a $7500 deposit that the King of Pop’s brother was paid for a concert in Michigan that never took place. Isaac says that the whole thing fell apart because Tito refused to do any press for the show. Now, Isaac says that Tito has 30 days to pay him back or else, he’ll come face to face with a lawsuit.
It seems that Michael Jackson’s father is still up to his no good ways… or rather, his no good ways might have pushed him down a gopher hole he can’t get out of now. Joe Jackson has recently filled papers requesting more than 15 000 dollars a month in allowance from Michael Jackson’s estate, but it seems the late singer’s lawyers aren’t going to play sugar with his daddy. Strange though how that estate of Michael Jackson’s can just pour out so much money for all sorts of necessary or unnecessary endeavors. You have to wonder how much longer Joe Jackson is counting on it to finance his overly large
At the next edition of the Grammy Awards, Michael Jackson will perform once more through the miracles of technology… and he will be joined by artists such as Celine Dion, Carrie Underwood, Usher and so on. The miracle is possible through a 3-D video of Michael Jackson’s “Earth Song” which would have also appeared at his London shows. This is what Ken Erhlich, co-execute producer of the Grammys, said on the matter: “It was one of the most important portions of the concert tour to Michael, and when Michael saw the film for the first time at his last rehearsal, there were tears in his eyes.” Well, this is one way to draw more crowds for the Grammys this year, isn’t it? And wasn’t this sort of tribute to Michael Jackson done before? And if not… how come?
The singer admitted that she was first in a great deal of denial regarding her brother Michael Jackson’s death, especially in the first few months. It was only when Janet Jackson performed at the MTV Video Music Awards where she saw a giant poster of her brother that it finally hit her, as she relates: “It hit me before I was about to do the performance, and it hit me when we were in rehearsal. There was a huge image of him on this screen, and I started to cry. I had to step away.” Better late than never, as some might say. It is good Janet Jackson is not in denial anyway or that she has not shifted to the dark side, as some other members of the Jackson clan.
Yet another one of the privileges of having had Michael Jackson as a brother and him having passed away… almost six freaking months ago! Still, the hype rages on and Janet Jackson’s recent interview is an eloquent example of that as it gained the highest ratings on Wednesday night for its particular time slot. It almost got more ratings than CSI: New York. People must really have been interested in what Janet Jackson had to say. You can probably just see Joe Jackson’s eyes lighting up with dollar signs with the “ka-ching” sound in the background when he hears this. You have to wonder if this is what it’s going to be like even when one year will have passed from Michael Jackson’s death.
You’d think that a very private and secluded funeral wouldn’t be that expensive. Well, guess again… it seems Michael Jackson’s funeral cost one million dollars. And it’s the private funeral that only family members and close friends got to attend. Apparently, Katherine Jackson, Randy Jackson and Janet Jackson even solicited financial aid from the administrators of Michael Jackson’s estate. One million dollars… you could just imagine Joe Jackson going berserk over the details: “No, we don’t need those expensive flowers!”, “No, don’t rent that restaurant, their prices are off the roof!”, “We can go with a much less opulent frame, Michael would’ve wanted it that way!” No wonder he’s running back and forth trying to get more out of the estate while there is still something left of it.
Well, regardless of his as of now limited funds, it seems that Joe Jackson still goes about acting like the big boss around Michael Jackson’s affairs. A man by the name of Ronnie Newt, who provided information about an illegitimate son of Michael Jackson to Joe Jackson, has recently asked for a restraining order against the pop legend’s father. Ronnie Newt is quoted as saying: “I was told to stay out of the M.J. love child story. That some one could get killed for that kind of money.” Oh, anything for a few extra bucks, isn’t that right Joe Jackson? Boy, for such an idealistic artist, Michael Jackson sure didn’t have the greatest daddy in the world.
A psychic claims celebrities who have passed on to the next world are reachable on Twitter. In a Halloween publicity stunt, Jayne Wallace held the first ever Twitter séance, later claiming she had chatted with Kurt Cobain, River Phoenix and the recently deceased Michael Jackson. Wallace said Cobain, who used the handle Tweance, told her Dave Grohl is a “good drummer” and that people should buy their kids real guitars, not Guitar Hero computer games. The stunt was carried out in collaboration with a London fancy dress store. Phoenix, meanwhile, said the Viper Room in Los Angeles – the venue where he took a fatal drug overdose on Halloween morning 1993 – did “great cocktails”. Jackson, meanwhile, was singing Heal the World when reached. He apologised for not performing his This Is It tour and was said to be astral travelling in London, calling it a “loving city”. Wallace tweeted: “Goodbye from Jayne Wallace and all her Psychic Sisters. Have a happy weekend now we know MJ is at peace. xxx 5:13 AM Oct 30th from web.”
Michael Jackson was eclipsed on the Forbes list of high-earning celebrities in death.
Fashion icon Yves Saint-Laurent was named the top-earning dead celebrity in the ninth annual macabre ranking put together by Forbes.
The publisher claimed Saint-Laurent, who died in 2008, earned a staggering $350million.
Richard Rodgers & Oscar Hammerstein came in second at $235 million and were followed by Jackson, who ranked third at $90 million.
Forbes Senior Editor Matt Miller, who edits the list, pointed to a massive estate sale made by Saint-Laurent and said Jackson’s longevity in earnings would likely push him higher in future. “Michael Jackson will make tens of millions of dollars a year because he has lucrative publishing rights, rights to all his memorabilia. There’s still profits to be made from the movie which comes out tomorrow.”
Fourth on the list was Elvis Presley, whose earnings in death tallied $55million.
The already famous clump of hair that is believed to have been shaved from the musical legend’s head when he joined the army has been sold at an auction for fifteen thousand dollars… that and a host of other of Elvis’ old belongings. Still, it’s a bit cheap for a piece of hair from the King himself, isn’t it? Why, if they had Michael Jackson’s hair to sell right now, they’d probably get ten times more on it… or maybe not since considering the number of procedures Michael Jackson went through, his hair might not even have been hair at all… all the more reason to consider Elvis’ under-evaluated. Somebody should sue.
It seems one of Michael Jackson’s old friends, David Gest, will be auctioning a collection of important memorabilia of his and will be donating the money for children. David Gest said the following about the Michael Jackson auction he will be holding: “I am delighted to donate this rare Michael Jackson memorabilia from my personal collection to two very worthwhile charities that I strongly support – I wanted to do something special for children that are in need.” If only all owners of memorabilia did that with their merchandise, no child would remain behind. After all, what do the people that buy these items do with them afterwards?
Katherine Jackson has engaged the nanny Michael Jackson let go last December.
Grace Rwaramba, 42, a staple in the lives of Paris, Prince Michael I and Blanket, was seen taking the kids to a karate class in Los Angeles along with cousins and family friend Omer Bhatti.
Rwaramba, who picked up the children from the class, has claimed she was so worried about the singer’s prescription drug use that she tried to stage an intervention with the help of his family. Despite her 17 years with Jackson – first as a secretary and later as a nanny – the troubled king of pop dismissed her. She kept in touch with Katherine, the children’s grandmother and permanent guardian, however.
According to family friend Mark Lester, the Rwandan-born nanny is a “very strong person”. He said: “She’s a tower of strength for the children. She is the closest thing to a mother that they have ever experienced.”
Latoya Jackson was in London this past Tuesday as she made an appearance on the Paul O’Grady Show. Michael Jackson’s sister was promoting, er, something. I don’t really know what she could be doing any promotions for, nor do I get how she gets any of these gigs. Hopefully, it wasn’t another ploy to earn a little more spotlight through the late King of Pop’s death. Haven’t we had enough of that already? Or maybe she’s touring with Electric Mayhem again. Who knows? She looked nice for her stint on the show though. That’s more than I can say for the other things that she’s been doing.

It’s been two months since the tragic loss of Michael Jackson and only now will the King of Pop have a proper burial. The problem is that the Jackson family will have to shell out some money to ensure their privacy and protection during the private service. Sources say that the cost of providing police and other city services can total up to $50,000. Considering that the memorial service at Staples Center set the city back $1.4 million, the burial services costs aren’t bad in comparison. And thankfully, it won’t be the taxpayers that would need to pay up this time around.
It has only been 4 weeks since Michael Jackson passed away but Marlon and Randy Jackson have already joined Tito on stage performing Jackson 5 songs. The company which put on Reggae Sumfest in Jamaica which kicked on July 19th and will wrap up on July 25th, says that the three brothers performed a mix of Jackson 5 songs and songs from their solo careers. They were flown to Montego Bay and put up in a swanky hotel with all expenses covered. It hasn’t been disclosed as to how much they were paid but it’s being said that it was a large some. The only catch is that they have mandatory meet and greets with fans. This year’s event was also dedicated to the King of Pop.
Authorities have raided the Houston office of Michael Jackson’s doctor, Conrad Murray.
Federal drug agents and Los Angeles police detectives arrived in a convoy of 15 cars at the Texas office, shortly after 10.20am local time this morning.
More than two dozen agents were seen on the scene at the Montgomery Road address.
Murray’s office, which is located at the Armstrong Medical Clinic, is owned by a doctor whose Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) licence to prescribe drugs was revoked in 2005, for "over prescribing", according to officials.
Law-enforcement sources told US television network ABC that agents had obtained a search warrant for this morning’s raid, based on the preliminary results of Jackson’s autopsy, which showed the singer’s cause of death was linked to the powerful anaesthetic, Propofol.
Dr Murray – Jacko’s personal physician – has previously been quizzed twice by police and federal agents.
After the raid began, a spokesperson for Murray told ABC News, "Dr Murray’s legal team is looking into the matter. [There is] no other comment at this time."
Murray was the last doctor to see Jackson before he died, and federal agents want to know if he administered the fatal dose of Propofol, which is normally only used in hospital operating rooms.
Murray and his lawyer, Ed Chernoff, have refused to answer questions about whether the doctor administered the powerful drug to Jackson.
Jackson, 50, died at his rented Los Angeles mansion, on 25 June, after suffering cardiac arrest.
