Dressed in a “little black dress”, with an army of dancers behind her, Kylie presented her new single on the TV. With an impeccable interpretation and a choreography just the same, Kylie managed to transmit the energy of the song. Just watch the video and you can judge for yourself. Somehow I doubt it that anyone will dislike it. She’s absolutely awesome!

Lindsay Lohan decided to be constructive while sitting in prison. A source declared to PopEater that Lindsay, who is incarcerated in Century Regional Detention Facility Lynwood, will spend her time by writing songs for a new album. She is willing to record those songs immediately after getting out of prison. The source said that Lindsay’s emotions are so intense right now, that this will be her best material, and probably will be nominated for Grammy. Before the process, Lindsay was working to prepare her third album.

Before being condemned to 90 days in prison, Lindsay Lohan posed for the august number of German GQ magazine. Lindsay can be admired sitting on a beech, her naked breasts being covered only by a guitar. The alcohol monitoring anklet she is obliged to wear all the time is hidden by the UGG boots. And with the magic that is “Photoshop” the anklet “goes away” in every picture. In her interview to the magazine, Lindsay talks about her passion for acting, and about the difficulties she encounters.

Amy Winehouse plans to release a new album at the beginning of next year. At the moment the singer is working on new songs for her new material, and she can’t wait to sing the new songs in front of her fans, Amy said. For this new disc, Amy Winehouse worked together with producer Mark Ronson, who also helped her producer her album “Back to Black”, released in the year 2006. The new album will be released in about six months, and it will be very much like her second album, Amy said.

The Lilith Fair tour just can’t catch a break! Amidst a lot of concert dates being cancelled, Kelly Clarkson has also decided to drop out of her appearances at the music fest, citing that she has to skip the dates to work on her upcoming studio album. Norah Jones has already dropped out of the tour and Sarah McLachlan herself has admitted that the tour is suffering from soft ticket sales. I thought this was going to be one of the biggest tours of the summer given its long hiatus. Who knew that it was going to be such a bust?

Katy Perry’s smash single ‘California Gurls’ is the second song in history to sell 300,000 digital copies in a week – four times in a row! In its seven week run, the pop singer’s catchy song song sold 2,110,000 copies, which has it just behind Flo Rida’s ‘Right Round’, which hit the two million mark in only five weeks. Katy is almost right in there with Lady Gaga with her ability to sell good and sell big. I am highly confident in saying that the two pop stars could easily save the music industry if they really wanted to. I have that much faith in them.

How tragic… just when inspiration finally managed to strike up the nerve to hit Lindsay Lohan over the head with a large mallet someone is spoiling the fruit of her labor. This is what Lindsay Lohan recently said on twitter about her newest musical masterpiece: “i don’t know who, but someone keeps leaking my tracks! i can assure everyone, it is NOT me.. so i’ve decided to do a music video rather than… let my tracks just go to waste…. need some time to choose a director and such* in regards to ‘can’t stop.’ ” Apparently she even included a link to the supposed track. Well now, if that ain’t professional, what is? As long as it’s out there, why not reap a bit of benefit over it… who knows, she might even snag a fan or two.

Frankie Muniz is now the drummer of the unsigned band You Hang Up from Arizona and the actor/race car driver/musician recently opened up about his latest career move. Frankie talked about his background in music saying “I’ve been playing since I was 12 years old, but nothing serious. I was a five-minute-per-week hobby drummer. I’d only played to my iPod with headphones on. It was always a dream to be in a band, but with acting going on, I never really considered it being something that could actually happen. And if I could get in a band, I wanted it to be something that was completely serious, with good music. But it felt like one of those jobs when you’re a kid and you want to be an astronaut or something. I’ve been very fortunate in my life to have three of those jobs — being an actor, a race car driver and now a musician.”

A source close to Jessica Simpson says that despite the reports, the singer is not actually dating Billy Corgan. The source said “Jessica loved spending so much time in and out of the studio with Billy. She’s in awe of his musical prowess, and it adds to her feelings for him, but they are not dating. Dating Jessica publicly can be intense. Billy maintains a quiet, private music-focused life and the taste of publicity he got while being with Jessica was an eye opener. Billy likes Jessica, but he will work to keep their relationship as it is and focus on the music. They are not getting serious, but Jessica has had so much fun with him.”

Adam Lambert is currently a singer by profession but the American Idol alum has dropped a not so subtle hint that he would like to be known as an actor as well. Adam revealed “I hope acting’s in my future, yeah. It is something that I’ve done a lot over the past eight or 10 years. If the opportunity came up and it was the right thing, I would love to be a part of a film. Right now, I am going to work on the album first. One thing at a time, right!” I hate to break it to you buddy. But before you get to doing other stuff, you have to get your music thing going right first.

Donald Trump made a comment earlier this week for everyone to boycott rapper Kanye West for his behavior on Sunday night’s 2009 MTV VMAs. The billionaire isn’t the only one who’s been thinking that. It turns out that radio stations are dropping Kanye too. Kiss 95.1 in Florida has dropped all of the rapper’s music from their playlist already. The station’s program director has decided to pull out all of Kanye’s music off the air after he disrespected country singer Taylor Swift while she was accepting her award. The station is now asking listeners if they should keep the boycott or allow his music to play.

Former Spice Girl Mel B is suing a former business partner for a whopping $7 million.

The singer – whose real name is Melanie Brown – and her husband, Stephen Belafonte, have slapped Dan Catullo with a lawsuit.

The couple claim a big business deal with Catullo fell apart and are now suing him for millions.

Mel B, also known as Scary Spice, and Belafonte claim they tried to join forces with Catullo in 2008, by setting up a company to profit off her “music, touring, merchandising and public appearances”.

The couple allege Catullo not only backed out of the $2 million deal, but that he also defrauded her in a number of ways including forging Mel B’s signature on a financial document.

They are now suing Catullo for $7 million for fraud, breach of contract and a number of other alleged offences.

Sheryl Crow has decided to sell off her musical catalogue. Rights to the singer and songwriter’s songs were just acquired by the S1 Songs Group. The deal will allow Sheryl to write and produce more music for television and film, as well as put a few much needed buck in the bank – $10 million to be exact. That’s not a bad pay for 15 years worth of music. It’s not great either. The company now has the rights to her existing portfolio as well as her next upcoming two albums. However, there’s yet to be any word on when these albums will be coming out.

Despite an impending custody and money battle, Debbie Rowe, Michael Jackson’s ex-wife did not attend the King of Pop’s memorial on Tuesday. Debbie’s camp claims that she and the singer were friends for almost two decades before they got married so it would make sense if she attended the ceremony. However, MSNBC announced a quote from Debbie on Monday that she will not attend the memorial because she didn’t want to take the attention away from Michael. She’s not that big of a name to draw any attention away from the music icon. Maybe she wasn’t even invited to begin with.
