Australian model turned singer Micky Green is the new voice of Virgin Airlines.
The 24 year-old, who is a huge star pop star in France, is heating up the airwaves in Virgin’s latest Australian TV ad with her debut single Oh.
Green, who looks like Debbie Harry, said, "There was a long time in between that was a lot of hard work and a lot of ups and downs.
"I was lucky to have the opportunity to be working as a model here already… It just seemed like a natural transition to travel with that.
She said she found time to get into music while working as a model because it was a way to unwind after a long day on a photo shoot.
She added: "I found that at the end of the day when I was working all day and going back to a hotel, I don’t really like TV but I needed to do something.
"I started writing poetry again and making it into songs. It was sort of something for me at the end of the day."
Green has been in a studio for two months and will start rehearsals next month to start performing again.
Meanwhile, her sultry voice has been making waves on the new V Australian TV ad campaign for the launch of Virgin’s Australia-Los Angeles flight.
The song Oh made the French top 20 in 2007.
